BTW Is this Groundhog Day?

Isn't this the same thread we have every year after we bomb out?

I'm barely even interested in trying to pick a team for next year because simply put, if the direction the coach has been going doesn't change dramatically he'd be able to make the best team in the world lose.

No CJS but being the Pirate you are, I guess we should have expected a parrot.

I actually have many parrots on here. It's just the more discreet ones wait a few weeks/months before jumping on my shoulder :)

I don't think there is anything wrong with agreeing with someone.

Just sh*ts me when people constantly parade it as their own.

So what will happen with Kinga and the Kiwi fella?

Kinga to me looks like a 80 min traditional hooker.
Does Buderus or Priddis go the whole game?

Both do.
Buderus gets rested in rep games only.

Ben Ross is a great signing, that goes without saying, but I think that Pomeroy will be a good buy for the Sharks too.

He will be a solid addition to your backline, but he can also be used as a benchie for his utility value (has played a number of games in the back row).

Hey Guys, You may be able to help me out here. Im a Tigers fan and a while ago rumours were doing the rounds about Russell Aitken joining the Tigers or the Dragons. Has he signed anywhere? By the way I hope you sign Greenshields to rid your team of Simmons. Hes an oxygen thief. Youve made some very good signings for 06 and will do quite well IMO

A few points mentioned in here. .

Fullback, should be Albert, he'd be quite lethal in the no.1 and from all reports his defence has been very good in the ESL.

Gallen to Prop .. agree with sparrow here, has prop written all over him, I much prefer taller rangier backrowers, especially if they are going to play like a centre out wide.

Scott, not our centre solution for mine, to small, solid player but does not appear to be anything more than that. Maybe Nielsen, or Rafferty from flegg, both look good, or just stick with Vagana. Stick Scott on the wing in place of covell or simmons. Or scott on one wing and brown on the other.

Dykes, talk of using him off the bench or as a hooker is silly, his defence is not good enough to be a hooker. His attack would benefit from a dominant forward pack, something we have not seen for about 18 rounds.

Hilder only a solid player nothing special offers little in attack, not what you want from a lock ... Kingston can cover hooker, Bird or Ciraldo lock, and latte can play PL.

Pomeroy is a back rower. He was only used by the panthers in the centers because at the time they had no other option. Sure he can fill in there but isnt it about time we had specialist players in there positions. The 1st week of the semi's and we still couldnt work out who our number 4 and 6 were going to be.

Hilder is one of the most consistent defenses the Sharks have, love him at lock, best utility player and has great hands. What about the scoop to Simmons to score on Saturday night bloody brillant, no knock ons or dropped balls! You guys have got to be joking with your stupid ideas.

True. He's a second rower who can slot into the centres. Which is why he would be better value off the bench.

Dykes!

Rafferty would be a great bolter for a wing spot if he sticks around with us. Looks to be a gun player from the little I've seen.

Pomeroy is our best buy without question - so much up side to this signing. I think he'll finish the year as one of our starting backrow.

Gallen at prop will have to happen sadly. Great point who ever said we need taller backrowers running wide. I also think Angry is on a smoking hot tip with Scott on a wing.

8. Gallen
9. Kinga
10. Ross
11. Pomeroy
12. Ciraldo
13. Bailey

14. Hilder
15. Nutley
16. Leuluai
17. Maiava

Nutley off the bench after the first 20 to play the rest of the game would be good. He'd be like a bull at a gate I reckon. Though you could always do a shifty and start with him and use Ross off the bench like QLD and the Panthers used to.
