Jimmy, this is getting confusing mate. The initial reply from me was in regards to you saying not keeping Merrin was a mistake. I simply said if we re signed him back then, we may have missed out on signing Vaughan. Looking at their current status and form in the game today, I would rather have Vaughan than Trent. Hence, right move in my opinion. Nothing to do with any form from 2010 to 2015 or how many times anyone repped.

"Secondly, Vaughan’s form in 2018 was down compared to 2017. He’s got a lot to prove this year, in my opinion."

That's an early contender for stupidest comment for 2019!

:flushed::flushed::flushed::flushed::flushed:

Oh well, you can’t please everyone all of the time. Such folk usually swallow mediocrity with glee and don’t know their arse from a hole in the ground either.

Fair enough, you’re entitled to your opinion, but I pointed out Merrin’s sustained good form which saw him represent NSW over a five-year period. Vaughan has only had one really noticeable good season (2017, when he had a point to prove) and an acceptable one last year. His other seasons (starting from 2013) have been mediocre to fair only. Why else would he have been dropped to Canberra’s reserve grade team (something which never happened to Merrin)?

On the record, I think the ‘problem’ with Vaughan isn’t ability, it’s consistency. Let’s see what 2019 brings, shall we?

Vaughan's problem at Raiders was Ricky Stuart, not form. They never got on. You ask any Raiders fan if PV should've been playing 1st or reserves back then. Even as an outsider I thought he looked strong and dangerous as a prop in Raiders 1sts, and couldnt understand why Sticky would drop him.....until I asked a former workmate and Raiders fan who lived in Canberra.

Coincidentally, did anyone notice Brett Morris’s display for the Chooks in the WCC? Not too shabby for an ageing “just a winger”! Meanwhile, SGI has to bank on that very loose term ‘potential’, which is an euphemism for “let’s hope for the best because he’s inexperienced”.

Fair point....but probably the first time he has played centre for how long?
But he wont come across defence like that again playing in the NRL in the centres..unless we pick Aitken. :D

Agree, he's still a powerhouse with a hat-trick on debut. Yep, I want me some of that.

I think you’ll find Morris played on the wing.

When did they rename “centre” to “inside wing”?

From the tv overlay I saw today, Morris didn’t seem to have anyone on his outside so I made an assumption.

If I’m wrong, so be it. It isn’t the first time nor will it be the last either,

Unlike some, I accept accountability for mistakes.

Why would I as the Dragons weren’t featuring? As previously explained, the tv overlay didn’t show anyone on Morris’s outside, so I made an automatic assumption.

So, I was wrong. Whoop de do.
Doesn't care about but feels the need to comment about it LMAO.
It wasn't the fact you were wrong that made you look like a fool, it was because you corrected someone who was right.
Try watching it again you might see the big number 2 outside him on every try.
Tupou is only 2m tall so easy to miss.

The thing about BMoz nowadays is not his speed (he has dropped a yard i feel) its his strength and how he uses his body. His power driving to the line is something our "potentials" should take notice of. Speed isnt everything but mix it with power and you have the perfect winger imo.
