Arsenal fans once again show their true colors after Ade ran over to their supporter section after his goal. Throwing stuff on the pitch, pushing and shoving with stewards, what a class-less act. Disgraceful fans and its not the first time that Arsenal supporters at games have shamed themselves. No wonder the big man said that gunners fans played a part in his leaving.

To all the Arsenal fans that were saying you wouldn't miss Adebayor, suck it up ladies.

It wasnt a good look what so ever, very disappointing. But seriously wtf was Adebayor doing? Shouldve already had a yellow for the horrible tackle on Fabregas, and then he treads on RVP's face? Just as disappointing, I was still a fan.

Onto Arsenals performance, not too bad. Dominated 70 minutes of the game, got caught out chasing goals. Credit to Man City on capitalising on their opportunities, if they can keep this up they'll give the top 4 a real shake this season. Great to see Rosicky return, looked like he hadnt been gone. Hopefully he can step up with all these injuries Arsenal seem to be getting.

Adebayor was playing up to the crowd, nothing wrong with that. Considering how much sh*t he has copped from Arsenal fans, it was funny to seem him sprint over to the Gunners fans. Fans are perfectly within their right to swear what they like back at him but once they start throwing projectiles on the ground and trying to get on the pitch, that is really disgraceful. I am not trying to put all Arsenal fans in one group, but that was a really poor effort by the fans at the ground.

No doubt, it was shocking, but any group of fans wouldve done the same thing. Wouldnt be surprised if Ade received a suspension or fine from it.

Ade deserved it, what a merkin /bait

Poor thing. And life without Ade was looking so good as well

Would be disappointed, as he would essentially be punished for the reaction of Arsenal fans. Have to admit it wasn't the smartest thing to do, but it made me lol.

If Richard Dunne left under similar circumstances, then rushed over the City away support and did the same thing, there would be the exact same reaction.

The same goes for any player leaving any club.

If it was Hammers supporters, they'd stab the stewards.

Get your hand off it.

I respected Adebayor as a player even after he left, but now I hope Haregraves hacks the f*ck out of his leg next week. His deliberate kick at RVP's face (check the footage), his constant hacking and t at the legs of Song and Fabregas and his showboating after the goal (which earned him a card remember) has totally made me loose all faith in him as a player.

I'm glad he is no longer at my club, a cretin of the highest order.

On a positive note (and I told you so) it was fantastic to see Rosicky back. His touch, vision and passing made a huge difference.

To score a goal in his first game in 18 months is nothing short of remarkable.

Had Nasri, Arshavin, Walcott been fit, we would have won imo.

I doubt Adebayor is the first player to have hacked Arsenal players, and he certainly wasn't the only one from City, cue Barry. Can't you remember the United game? Being physical with Arsenal players is hardly new and its certainly not something that Ade just invented last night.

Whats wrong with the guy show-boating, given the occasion and the circumstances with his departure. Arsenal fans have been bitching and moaning about Ade for a while, even while he was still at the club. Whats wrong when player decides throw a bit back? I guess some just can't hack it when players decide to show a bit of personality, especially when they beat their old teams

Just saw the another replay of Ade stomp on RVP. I gave him the benefit of the doubt when I was watching the game live, but the new angle I saw its looks deliberate. What a great game football is, Eduardo gets banned for simulation, but Ade wont get anything for treading on a guys face.

Robin van Persie has issued the following statement following an incident with Emmanuel Adebayor at Saturday's game:

"I am sad and disappointed by my former team-mate Emmanuel Adebayor's mindless and malicious stamp on me during today's match.

"We are both professional footballers and I know that the game is physical, I too have made hard and sometimes mis-timed challenges but never with the intention of hurting an opponent. He set out to hurt me today.

"I knew he was aiming for a collision because he changed the angle of his body to allow contact to be made. He moved backwards when his natural momentum would have taken him forward. I find that deeply disrespectful. He has shown a real lack of class today, to me and the fans.

"I do feel lucky that I have not suffered a greater injury. The contact was only centimetres from my eye. I have not received an apology from him, there were no words exchanged afterwards. He had his own agenda today and that is bad for football. It's bad for the game we all love.

"I want to make it clear that this has nothing to do with the result of today's match. We do not hide from that disappointment but I need to speak out about his behaviour."
