Deserved to win, had a goal disallowed as well as the RVP near miss. The penalty was 50/50 too. But, we had all the luck v Celtic, so I can't complain.

A decent performance though, especially with Fabregas, Nasri, Rosicky and Walcott out. I think Song again had a fantastic game, he seems to have adopted a "take no sh*t" policy, which is something the entire side is lacking. He now enters into challenges hard with no remorse.

Arshavin was great again, even if he was less than 50%.

Despite losing I'm still pleased with the performance. We'll win against the majority of sides if that style of play is consistent, especially when Fab, Nasri, Rosicky & Theo return.

Diamonds or rocks with Diaby, he just not consistent enough to been a regular first team player. We played well but didnt get the result, missed Fab a lot. A lot of positives to take out of the game though.

Apart from the brain snap I thought he was pretty good. Got into the box alot, maintained possesion when under pressure deep in Man U's half. Ramsey came on and choked. Fair enough he is young but geez he was poor in the last 10 minutes.

Agreed.

Diaby has stepped up a notch in class and intensity. Ignoring his header, the rest of his game was spot on.

Don't forget his run into the Man U box, beating three players and shooting wide directly after the OG.

I agree with Ramsey as well, he was poor V Celtic too. It's not fair bringing an 18 year old on with ten minutes to go and assume he'll adapt to the speed of the game instantly. I'd expect him to be starting in all Carling Cup games.

In other news, Merida and Song are looking to sign new contracts this week.

He gave away way too much ball for mind. Ramsey is too green, it annoyd me Wenger keeps persisiting with him, when Wilshere is there and looks ready to go.

Gallas was an absolute rock at the back for your lot - I'm sure he would have been doubly pissed to see all his great work undone by Diaby's moment of madness. Honestly, Rooney would have been proud of that header.

Gallas has been our best since the first few minutes V Everton.

It just shows that when his head is right, he can be one of the best CB's in the league.

I can't see Djourou pushing Vermaelen out either. Big Tom has been consistently in our top three performers every week. Very, very impressive.

We'll see how long it will last!

but in Arsenal news apparently we are going to make a last ditch at Chamakh

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...rdeaux-striker-Marouane-Chamakh.html?ITO=1490

The great man wont be returning, I read a quote last week from him stating he's staying at Inter.

Wish I could find it.

Matuidi would be decent, however he wouldn't start ahead of Song, Denilson or Diaby at the moment. Not really a crucial buy imo.

Chamakh seems willing, able and full of ability. If his signing means Eboue is forced to the bench, I'm happy.

I know everyone is probably gettin sick of this question, but when is Rosicky due back?

Hes meant to be right for international duty now, but take that with a grain of salt. I dont really care anymore, he should just retire before a brisk wind picks up and paralyzes him for life.

His injury isn't as bad as first thought, I believe his return has been shortened by 2-3 weeks, probably due to the excellent level of fitness he has attained in the off season, comparing to the level he was at when his previous injuries hit anyway.

He was close to playing against Man U.

I think we may see him against Citeh, or at the very least V Standard.

A fully fit Rosicky will add a lot to the side. His experience alone will be invaluable.

He hasnt played in like 2 yrs loll the younger guys in the squad such as Denilson, Song and Diaby have all picked up valuable experience, i cant wait to see Rosicky on the field again but him being there is no big deal anymore, used to it by now.

Three pre-season friendlies, plus a full pre-season training.

As well as being in camp for the Czech national team.

Whilst his match fitness wont be as high as Denilson, if all the fitness reports and press conferences are correct, I'm expecting him to come off the bench V Citeh.
