But the problem is that I rate Gibbs and Clichy higher as LB's and he doesn't have the technical ability to be a decent LM.

Gibbs' value has doubled since the introduction of the "Home Grown" rule.

Apparently he was pulled from Sevillla's CL game last night to prevent him being cup tied.

Decent signing - Has international and solid club experience. Would probably replace Koscienly/Djourou and partner Vermaelen in defence.

Squillaci is a useful CB for Seville but in all honesty I dont see him strengthening your squad.

And he's 30 years old, a bit surprised you guys are actually chasing him.

Certainly no more than 5m? For that amount of money I'd prefer Given.

Frimpong is no real loss from a squad perspective, however he was set to get some CC game time this season.

I would think around 5-8 mill, he's good and experienced

his only negative is his age, but keepers tend to get away with age more than others

Apparently the Squillaci fee has been confirmed (4m) and has flown to London for a medical.

I'll be content if he does sign - Vermaelen, Squillaci, Koscienly and Djourou. With Song available as well.

Walcott continued his good early season form, Cesc was fantastic starting for the first time this year and once again Song was a f**kin rock, theres no doubt hes one of the elite players in the league now.

We looked better...but with all those balls going into Samba and co we were very lucky imo. I didn't think Cesc played good at all. Wilshere looked much more active when he came on.

Vermaelen has injured his Achilles and will miss tonight's game against Bolton - Squillaci to make his debut.

Luckily though it's not a biggie and he should be right for Wednesdays game.
