I said the meet-up was at the R&C, which it was. I went to the LC as is my custom whenever possible. I'd rather give me money to the LC than the R&C.
As would all of us HJ.
Maybe that's something the club can look at in future.
Suity
HJ, I sware I saw you at the TAB yeh? haha.
MITS, the thing Cafe 88 lacks in that comparison is a any TV screen if I recall, for people to watch the preceding game (Manly v Roosters).
Hopefully it won't be long before the club reveals some plans for a child-friendly area on game days for the 2010 season...
Registered Clubs Act 1996 said:For the purposes of section 50B (2) of the Act, the particulars and requirements prescribed are that the notice, apart from any heading and signature, contain the following words, and no others, in capital letters not less than one centimetre in height:
THE REGISTERED CLUBS ACT 1976 PROHIBITS ANY MEMBER ENTERING THE NAME OF A PERSON UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS IN THE GUEST REGISTER OR PERMITTING ANY SUCH PERSON TO BE IN A PART OF THE CLUB PREMISES DEFINED UNDER THE ACT AS A BAR.
It was just an unfortunate situation! We wanted to catch up with friends who had kids, so we had ONE WEEK away from the LC.
Yes our first choice was to go to the club, but circumstances prevented it. Not the end of the world, and no one's fault in particular!
No worries.(Please notice that I am just once again playing the Devils advocate).
I guess to me a kid-friendly area is one where kids and adults can sit together, and enjoy the types of facilities on offer at the club - but within the law.So I ask where would people expect it to be and what facilities would be on offer, obviously you could not have a Bar.
I only ask because I have been going to Clubs since I was Knee high to a grasshopper, but always in the Dinning areas, any pokie rooms or drinking area's I was never allowed in to.
