I've put Martin down for errors, he didn't deserve to be sent. Luai was unusually off from what we'd expect but doesn't get much game time so not criticising him as a player. We were better with Egan at 9 two weeks in a row.

Edwards 7 - A few great takes under pressure.
Mansour 8 - Outstanding. 200+ meters. Looked consistently dangerous and put his hand up for tons of work.
Yeo 6 - Got burned for Hiku's try. Put in a solid shift once moved inward.
Naden 9 - Freak. Unlucky not to have a hat trick.
To'o 7 - Good shift.
Luai 6 - Decent effort, but still has work to do in his game. Too sideways too often. Thew a very nice pass to give Naden room for his 90 meter effort.
Maloney 8 - Ice cool when it counted and some dangerous runs. General kicking was ordinary.
Tamou 8 - Great effort. Rewarded with a try.
Kenny 6 - Good service but some silly moments. A bit unlucky with the chargedown I thought.
JFH 8 - Held the middle together. Huge engine.
Winterstein 5 - Isn't really giving us anything atm. Maybe there's a plan.
Martin 7 - Tackled well. Huge play to charge down Green's FG attempt. Very unlucky to be sin binned.

Egan 6 - Decent game. Defended well. Service is slower than Kenny's
RCG 6 - Quiet but did nothing wrong.
Leota 6 - As above.
Whare 7 - Defended well once he came on. Loving the offloads.

I know we aren't suppose to pick at what people say here but this is false. He has outplayed Kenny two weeks in a row now.

It's not "false" mate. That's just how I saw it. I thought his service was slower than Kennys, but he didn't have a bad game by any stretch.

I scored them the same but I'd have Egan marginally in front if I had to chose. I think having both in the side makes sense atm.

I'm just being pedantic. Kenny isn't bad at all either and I completely agree on having them both. Kenny seems to be better defensively for that first 20 minutes.

A couple of points:
  • RCG was Ok, but not for the elite contract he is allegedly on. 86m is just not good enough, especially when you are coming on after the initial forward exchanges. I think he is unhappy and looking to leave.
  • Yeo mustn't be played at centre. FFS, use a NSW cup centre and let the poor bloke play in the back row. He must be frustrated at having to mark players so much quicker than him.
  • Tamou and JFH have held our forward pack together this year, what a great effort by both of them.
  • No Maloney, no win. He struggled for a bit in the second half and I'm guessing he was gassed after Luai's stint in the bin, but he got his mojo back. He kept running at the line and got bashed a number of times. Watch closely young Luai.
  • Winterstein is a weak point in our pack. He needs a spell in reggies. 33m is not enough effort for such a big unit.
  • Mansour showed the value in having a winger who makes metres. He might not score many tries, but boy did we need his valuable contribution yesterday. 71 post contact metres from a guy only just as big as one of Kikau's legs. He was like a tractor at times, dragging three Warriors up the field for fun.

Oops. Just realised I missed someone.

Kikau 7 - Was completely unstoppable in the first 20, but faded out of the game, presumably due to fatigue. Feels like a Ferrari being used like an ox at times.

He picked up a couple kocks in the 2nd half.

He was absolutely gassed early.

Gutsy performance. Jimmy misses a 9 from me for his general kicking. Not up to his expected standard.
