We don't need Galvin
Fair enough, you'd know by the sounds if it.
Galvin is all class and a once in a lifetime type of player, he'd be a perfect replacement for the jaw in a few years and wont cost the earth. In 2 years time the guy will attract big dollars.
What's you succession plan?
I don't want to lose him but as you compatriots have said he'll be hard to hold down.

And when he does his acl or gets a stiff chin?
His name eludes me, haven't you got a gun coming thru?
I bet you he's not as good or has the potential of Galvin.
Doesn't phase me really as Lachlan's locked in but you guys are stretched salary cap wise and Galvin could easily take over from Luai in 2025 so get him into your system and groom him.

I think before Nathan retires he wants to play with his brother... that would be an option to replace him with a younger version.

I'd have Cole replace Luai. Who was a half and at 19 has plenty of years left

Not buying into the Media BS, trying to unsettle Penrith for years and have failed.

Romey asking for a release and trying to do the dirty only ruins and sours his legacy here with the Panthers.

the club have shown, they won’t release someone early - why would it be any different with Luai?

we saw the team reaction when he told them, they were ecstatic for him, it’s a tight knit team, Romey doesn’t want to screw that up

Longshot I know but maybe they were cheering because he said he's staying and just has media bluffed.

‘Absolutely no way’: Panthers boss responds to rumours of premature Luai exit amid training no-show

Panthers CEO Brian Fletcher has answered with an emphatic “no” when asked if the club will allow Jarome Luai to head to the Tigers a year early amid speculation the playmaker is growing discontent with his current club.

Luai has been granted leave from Panthers preseason training this week in the wake of reports that he has agreed to a five-year, $6million deal with the Tigers from the 2025 season.

Fox Sports’ Cody Kaye spoke to Fletcher on Tuesday morning, with the Panthers boss laughing off suggestions that Luai will be anywhere but Penrith in 2024.
“Fletcher said ‘there’s absolutely no way we are letting Jarome Luai off his contract in 2024 to play for a rival club’ and further to that, he says Jarome wants to be at the Panthers for the final year of his contract,” Kaye told Fox Sports News.

“However, we all know rugby league is a funny business and it wouldn’t be the first time that clubs have denied the release of a player only for that player to be released.

“At this stage, as far as the Panthers are concerned, Luai isn’t going anywhere.”

Kaye spoke to new Tigers CEO Shane Richardson, asking the decorated rugby league administrator if the club is keen to have Luai from 2024.

“You have to imagine that given this massive offer, the Wests Tigers are moving heaven and earth to try and get him (Luai) for the start of Round 1 next year,” Kaye said.

“I asked him (Richardson) point blank if you’d like to get Jarome for the start of the 2024 season and he answered ‘no comment’. Read into that what you will.. It’s not a denial, but it leaves the open question.

“The only way they can do that is if the Panthers decide to let him leave a year early.”

Luai hasn’t been seen at Panthers preseason training since explaining teammates of his plan to leave the club at the end of 2024 to sign with the Tigers.

The Daily Telegraph reported that the Panthers had reluctantly granted Luai leave.

However in a tweet, SMH journalist Michael Chammas said Luai had not answered the club and instead got a someone else to tell them he “wasn’t coming to work because he was angry with them”.

To some extent Chammas is attempting to stir the pot with this tweet. The reasoning of why Jarome is missing, is a mystery to all. Including Chammas.

Im a Tigers fan with the deepest respect for your club. Chammas, like many of his cronies, is pure scum. Wait and see what unfolds. For what its worth, I want Luai to stay for 2024. He has a contract and should abide by that. I get the feeling he will do just that and the media is full of shit.

Thanks for your kind words. No one knows his reasoning for 'leave' so it's all speculation.

I also hope he stays.....whether it happens though is unknown. Although Penrith do have the 'blueprint; for doing this well.

I think from WT perspective it would be better for your club if he came 2025.
If, he was to come across for 2024. You would have a limited pre-season with him. He won't be in full training for a bit: With his shoulder. He possibly misses the early rounds too. Not ideal.

You would want him for a full pre-season to gel with new combos and learn the Benji game plan. I also assume Benji would want to get rid of some deadwood to strengthen your roster moving forward.

Chammas has connections at the club and is close to Luai. I believe this story is either testing the waters for an early release or his new management is causing trouble for an early cut. Ala Latrell.

Time will tell.
