I think from WT perspective it would be better for your club if he came 2025.
If, he was to come across for 2024. You would have a limited pre-season with him. He won't be in full training for a bit: With his shoulder. He possibly misses the early rounds too. Not ideal.

You would want him for a full pre-season to gel with new combos and learn the Benji game plan. I also assume Benji would want to get rid of some deadwood to strengthen your roster moving forward.

Chammas has connections at the club and is close to Luai. I believe this story is either testing the waters for an early release or his new management is causing trouble for an early cut. Ala Latrell.

Time will tell.
If he is close to Laui, this is pretty poor. Says he loves him and not bagging him....to hell you arent Chammas. Stirring shit.Screenshot_20231219-141046_Facebook.jpg

He's right. Assuming it is as he says
That's my point, is it as he says? Probably more like media stirring shit about Panthers as usual and this is suppossed to be a bloke that's "close" to Luai.

One saving grace is that Kent is not around to spew his venom.

Also could be his new management company actively seeking a bigger payday for 2024 too.

This management group is starting to make Isaac Moses look like a saint with all their carryons, over various players......Trellmet for example, Jack Wrighton anyone.

Except News Limited have the same mail.

That tells me. Someone from Luai's management is passing on the info.

In which case makes it poor form on Luai's part

Penrith is not known for 'leaking'. Jarome's contract renewal has been leaked all over the place. The only thing that has changed is his management company......

I'd like to think Jarome could / would see through this.....But sadly it doesn't appear that way.

IF, he is dodging the clubs calls and IF he left it to a third party to pass on he is not coming in. That is piss poor.

That is what I meant.

What Chammas was reporting on. That the guy with the huge head on Fox Sports News from Panthers training. Got a 'no comment' about whether he was at training today.

His new management, don't get paid for this year... which is why I think all this BS is out there. To hope for a release

Pretty sure if this was untrue the club would have debunked it by now. Either some photos of him training on social media, or some kind of official media release. We've done as much in the past to deconfirm damaging stories.

Chammas has nothing to gain from lying about this. He is very close to the club, and would only damage that relationship by putting out fake news.

As for Jarome himself, I kinda imagine that making the decision to walk away from your childhood club would weigh pretty heavy. He may have needed a mental health day. He may have even told his management team to organise it with the club.

Or he may genuinely have the shits that the club is willing to waive the 10 day re-sign period. I'd understand that too.

Not sure any club won't waive the 10 day period. Especially in this case, He chose the money. We don't have the money. It sucks but that is how it is
