I wonder if Freddy Fittler would be interested in helping out Brooksy for the next six months. I have a feeling that Freddy would really help Brooks. There’s something about Freddy’s calmness and demeanour that I feel Brooks would really benefit from. I’ve been thinking about this for a while, Andrew Johns, and Cooper Cronk were considered but I’ve come to the conclusion that Freddy is the personality that would most benefit him

If Matty johns can’t help him nobody can.He would be my preference although IMO Brooks is beyond help & ought to find another occupation along with 30% of other NRL players.Beggars belief that the commission want to expand !

I really think Brooks’ biggest problem is that he is scared he’ll make mistakes as a result he is apprehensive and stifled. Instead of throwing off the shackles his chains just seem to get heavier and heavier. He is tense instead of being intense.

I reckon he has been good this season but good for an average half. I agree he looks tense though.

I have no problems with Brooks if we pay him a low end salary for a half in the NRL and we develop a quality 6 like Douiehi or whoever as our main play maker. I actually think it could work for the balance of the squad.

I'd prefer a top quality half but I don't see many out there. Adam Reynolds is quality. He is a massive improvement over Brooks but I'd be worried signing any player on top dollars at the back end of their careers.

The hate Brooks is getting this season isn't based on his performances.

I've watched him and he has been pretty good. Not great but I don't expect great.

The roosters kept Cronk for 2 years right? That should be plenty of time to find a replacement

apparently Matty Johns only came in to help twice. Need a full time dedicated halves coach

The problem is we aren't the rorters. They can slot Cronk into a top team and when Cronk goes they don't even go backwards.

Don't be a moron. After that effort and somehow making out it was Brooks fault is so stupid.

We were reemed by the refs and some missed tackles. The big miss was from our captain freshly on the park.

I get it. You will only be satisfied if we are winning games and the halfback is always to blame.

I don't view Brooks as the guy who has to win games for us. I don't think he is that good. He can do it and he may do it but he is better played as a cog in the machine. We need other players to win us games. Guys like Douiehi and maybe Simpkin and Laurie and Luc.

It's a different opinion on how to judge a halfbacks role.

I'd like to know the halves in the comp who win games for their teams consistently. Cleary can but to me he isn't anywhere near the level of the top halves I've seen play the game. Reynolds can and he is a really good player. These guys both tend to kick their teams to victory rather than create something. Munster can. There aren't many of those types of players.

That is pretty funny. So he is the 4th best half in the comp and we should get one of the top 3 ? I wouldn't rate Brooks that highly.

We have other players who can create stuff.

We are 8 ahead with 10 minutes to go, either AD or LB should of had some awareness to set up for a field goal and put the game beyond doubt ,instead we turned the ball over and let Souths back into the game.
