Sorry to burst your bubble people but Burt isn't going any where.
2UE have always had an agenda where Parra are concerned and this is just more crap from them.
If Hayne gets injured or plays SOO then Burt comes in at fullback and i can tell you now that we are not letting him out of his contract nor does he want out of his contract.
Burt will be with us until his contract is up at the end of the season then he will retire.
Sorry guys but he WILL NOT be at Cronulla now or any time in the future.

We already had him once. Went to norths then broncos, then raiders. I think. Played in the wing for us and the boncos. Clearly fullback is his go.
Not even the better of the twins.

I didn't know they were twins, and yes Travis was a much better player when they were with us.
Neilson was better than both of them.

We have sniffed and basically been told to f**k off.

so yes I think the Burt story may be a dead one.

We've signed worse midyear. Leon Bott anyone..?

Any chance B. Slater might like to finish the year with us?

Travis looked likely to make it but just didn't seem to get the chance at first grade. He was definitley the more talented of the 2.

The less said about how we missed Matt Kings ability the better

Did nothing special with us. We had Matt King too.

I hope it wasn't our superior coaching mantras that contributed to that.... Like playing blokes out of position.... Anyway looks to have matured and from the few games I've watched of him at that back.. he's playing pretty good footy

King was around for only a handful of games though wasn't he? Played a few and quit footy... Pretty sure it was the same year he made his debut at the storm after a few months as a bar tender down there.

We won't have that problem in a few weeks since Isaac Gordon will be allowed to play in round 10, after today's Commission hearing where Lui copped a year suspension and Gordon 9 games, 6 of which he has served already.

Frenzy.

Sharks circling as Burt looks to give Eels the slip

THE INSIDE BACK

On the outer at Parramatta, goal-kicking fullback Luke Burt is looking for a new home and could find it at the Sharks following the long-term injury to gun rookie Nathan Gardner.

Sharks football manager Darren Mooney last night said no approaches had been made to the veteran flyer but The Inside Back can confirm Burt, when first dropped to Wentworthville last month, was shopped around to rival clubs including the Sharks. It's believed, however, an agreement regarding the Eels' existing contract payout couldn't be reached with a new club and the Eels withdrew him from the market. In the wake of his most recent dropping, Burt is again believed to be on the lookout for a new club. And while the Sharks haven't made an offer, don't be surprised to see him in Cronulla colours this year.
