Steve Kearney = weak as piss

If he's going to let the fans pick the side he may as well hand in his resignation.

Weak as piss? Surely not! His game plans are brilliant! Complete sets! Hold on to the ball! Don't pass! Hiss five year plan is even better! We'll be right! Have you lost faith?!

Na, Kearney shouldn't listen to the fans, he should listen to Pou Pou. About how he is going just fine.

With Hayne on the paddock for a full game our differential is -5. Without him its -97.

Just sayin...

yup

We have the 16th best attack, 16th best defence, and we sit in 16th position

However with Hayne on the field we have been a different side. We have the 6th best attack, equal 9th defence, and we're sitting in 6th place.

Once again, go easy on the melodrama.

For those who might be inclined to think there will be changes to the team (Esi, Lasalo, Toutai etc), do you honestly think Kearney would name Burt and then not play him?

Unless someone can suggest another change?

Sandow has been suggested but I haven't heard word that his "injury" was bad enough to keep him out for two weeks...

I reckon you're one of the horde that thinks we beat Manly because we offloaded more.

How about that supercoach Mal Meninga? Seven straight Origin victories. Greatest Origin coach of all time.

Or maybe a coach's record is largely determined by the cattle available to him.

Prior to the Manly game this year, Kearney has never had a first grade standard team available to play. His record before then is irrelevent. His record since then is average - he has won at home and lost away.

So it's not the coach at all then? Just the players?
So no need for a coach then.

It's funny, before when Kearney was doing everything Pou Pou wanted he was the greatest coach in the history of Parramatta. Now he does something Pou Pou disagrees with and all of a sudden he's 'weak as piss'. Maybe Pou Pou just wants what's best, which judging by his comments over the past 7 weeks, is playing boring football and losing.

Poupou's nothing more than a generic little internets wanker who thinks forum wars have significance. Take no note of anything he says as they are just the blatherings of an idiot.

Yep, that little boo-boo.

There have been no indications that it was significant, unlike the injury to your brain. Indications as to the seriousness of that abound in your posting history.

Sandow removed from the field early in Cronulla and then being ruled out of the Wenty clash are pretty good indicators of your judgement too, genius.

Blah blah glass houses and shit.

Yeah that's exactly what I said. Idiot.

It's just one extreme to another with you isn't it?

Me: "Maybe a coach's record is largely determined by the cattle available to him."

You: "So it's not the coach at all then?"

Idiot.

Are you even capable of considering an argument on its own merits? Do you think it's possible that multiple factors could influence an outcome and that they are all worth considering?

No you don't. For you it's all about finding someone to blame and then trying to win an internet argument over it.

Of course the coach is a factor, and Kearney has proven he's not a great coach. Not yet. But he's only in his second season. He will have learnt a lot in the 18 months he has been at the club, and going through all this will serve him well down the track.

It's the same kind of experience that would have improved Jason Taylor as a coach if he hadn't turned out to have the temperament that led him to punch on with one of his players.

Kearney hasn't proven he is great but neither has he proven he is shit, despite rabid fans that want someone to blame and the hope of a quick fix (Sack Kearney!)

We really miss Hayne's defence when he's not there.

It's his f**king aura we miss - his presence lifts everyone around him.

His absence obviously has the opposite effect. That's the price you pay for having a superstar in your team.

Melbourne lost a grand final 40-0 without Cam Smith, yet won the grand finals before and after that one when he did play.

:sarcasm:

I don't deny arguing on the internet. The difference is my arguments are logical, and I'm not just looking for a scapegoat for the team's performance.

I'm just throwing the alternatives out there.

There's loads of reasons the team has only won one game this year but the only option most merkins want to consider is that KEARNEY CAN'T COACH!!!

If only everything was that simple hey?
