Esi was signed to play first grade, based on last year's form.

On last year's form Burt should be our back-up fullback, like he was before Hayne came back from injury.

On this year's form Esi is injured and lacks match fitness. And Burt is no better than he was last year.

Poo poo, yes you are right, there is more to coaching than winning and losing. The only thing SK has going for him, is his idea about the academy and his five year plan.

His releasing of players, team choices, recruitment, resignings, use of bench and inept team performances leaves a lot to be desired. 7 / 31 doesn't help either.

The only way out of it for SK, is for the team to start winning. Losing heavily to the cows and panthers has left a bad taste in people's mouths.

If he is good enough, he will get us out of this mess. Until then, he is an average coach...... sorry.

We have faced the 2nd, 3rd and 4th best defensive teams so far this year.

These teams have defended well in six other games this season. Their strong defensive record isn't just from playing us.

The Panthers are the only shit defensive team (12th best) to have defended well against us this year.

I don't think you could even say he is an average coach. He is truly an unknown quantity. For mine his career started against Manly - the first time he ever had a quality spine on the field - and we have been average in those three games.

But three games isn't long enough to judge anyone.

These teams have defended well in six other games this season. Their strong defensive record isn't just from playing us.

The Panthers are the only shit defensive team (12th best) to have defended well against us this year.

Agree we should have been competitive, even without Hayne, and the coach is as much to blame for that capitulation as anyone.

But we had tried hard the previous three weeks without Hayne. How was anyone to know the team would shit themselves at kickof that day? Every team gets inexplicably belted at some stage so Kearney may have thought the Penrith game was just that. It would only have been after the Cowboys fiasco that it was obvious something was wrong.

Since that game Hayne came back and we won at home against an understrength Manly side, and narrowly lost two games away against teams that have defended strongly in all their games so far.
