But we didn't rely on our spine the previous two years because we had all those great offloaders - Cayless, Mateo, Inu, Grothe - that had left the club over the off-season.

These teams have defended well in six other games this season. Their strong defensive record isn't just from playing us.

The Panthers are the only shit defensive team (12th best) to have defended well against us this year.

In 2 years, you were able to determine DA is shit, despite going to the GF with a shit team.

In 18 months it cannot be determined if SK is any good, because he had a shit roster last year, and we were within a bee's d!ck of getting the spoon.

Esi was signed to play first grade, based on last year's form.

On last year's form Burt should be our back-up fullback, like he was before Hayne came back from injury.

On this year's form Esi is injured and lacks match fitness. And Burt is no better than he was last year.

That's not necessarily true. The good coaches all pick their teams on ability, not form. That's why Sandow will play again this week.

Agree Twiz, it's not really rocket science to understand this week's selection. I reckon SK's got it right, and we'll get the win this week.

I agree he has proven his coaching ability, but I wanted to know at what point in his career he 'proved it' to you.

I think it is plainly obvious that he is a great coach, it is irrelevant when he "proved" it to me!

SK will prove it to me when I see what he talks about actually working, we are 30+ games into his career and we are actually going backwards with a better squad........dress it up all you want but that is not a good sign!

One other aspect of his week's selection of Burt on the wing, is that it harks back to SK's statements at the start of the season that he wanted Burt to be our first grade kicker, so that Sandow could concentrate on getting his game right at a new club rather than have too much responsibility straight up.

Whatever happened behind the scenes to see Burt dropped thankfully seems behind us now, and the side can properly move forward with room for both Burt and Hayne in the backline of our top 17. Bring on the win!

Burt lacks size and strength, but he has speed and is a finisher. Against the sharks, Blair had a few chances, with an open line, but wasn't able to cross the stripe.

I believe Burt >esi and Morgan

If Blair can handle himself in the centers, we become more potent in attack.

I actually support Burt's selection back into the top grade but for anyone who thinks that's the answers to our problem solved should remember the last time Burty played first grade and how a bloke named Ash Graham made him his bithch..just sayin.

ok, well this time we've got a 1 legged Jarryd Hayne which is better than nothing and I think the jury is out whether or not we're better defencively with Blair there ahead of Morgan..

I haven't been too impressed with Blair's defence on the wing. Not much chance he'll be any better at centre.

We know Burt will play on the left with Sio on the right. I wonder what sides the centres will play on. Hopefully Kearney will stick with Maitua-Sandow-Tonga-Sio on the defensive right hand side.

But this leaves Blair and Burt on the left with Roberts and probably Fui. Dodgy as f**k.

You can say that Bellamy makes ordinary players look good, but he has always had a world class spine to work with.

The best hooker the game has ever seen; closets the best fullback of all time; a test class halfback and a very talented emerging 6 (as a slight salary cap concession to replace inglis).

At origin level he hasn't had the same class and continuity of spine and looked average.

All acquired through cheating too of course
