A bit of a rumor that Knights halfback Luke Walsh is off to France for 8 weeks.
Probably bullsh*t, but he does seem to be third choice at the Knights right now and shouldn't be needed.
Maybe loaning him out will be good for his development and give a bit of salary cap relief.

Loaning isnt a bad idea, we did it for Dobson and it got him to a level where at least on his day he's a top level player, but he still has glaring flaws in his game. But it certainly improved him.

OK - it was just on NBN news.
He has been offered 2 months loan deal to Catalans to cover for their injured half and may fly out tomorrow if he agrees.
He was at Knights training today.
Mullen has been named as Knights half for this weekend with Dureau number 17 in a 20 man squad.

The only person who knows for sure is Smith - and you can make a good case either way.

he's a good honest half back who'll never be a regular first grade NRL player imo.

You're joking right? He played 12 games last year at the age of 19, whilst carrying an ankle injury. At times he even out-played Mullen.
