Seinfeld at its worst is vastly superior.

I love Community, don't get me wrong, but in the latest seasons, it has really gone to shit.

Seinfeld is the superior show, but Community with their 'Modern Warfare' (the first Paintball episode) is my favourite episode of anything I have ever watched.

It's entirely scripted by a pair of actors. I used to think of it as a straight comedy.

It might come down to perspective. The British sense of humour is typically quite dark and far from optimistic, while US sitcoms tend towards being brighter.

As for British drama, they just don't make a great deal of compelling drama in the vein of Breaking Bad or The Wire.
