I find a lot of this debatable
But why are we in a rebuilding phase? AR is 27, the twins are 25, Sam is 28, AJ is 22 and were all an important part of our 2014 premiership side. Sutton and GI are the only guys over 30 that i would've considered key players. Yes we've lost Walker, Teo and Luke but over that period we have also added guys like Gray, Crichton and Cody who would all have slotted into that 2014 side. We should've been aiming to build a dynasty but instead players haven't progressed and we've had the rest of the comp pass us.
Is he really a proven winner? Inherited a team that was on the verge of playing finals. Yes he did take them to a premiership at the third attempt but since then it's been a big fall with no obvious attempt to change things up. He hasn't evolved with the game and as a result we've been left behind. A part of the reason that players have left us and kicked on is that they have gotten into a system that is relevant in todays brand of footy. We've had some grim results in the past two years and very, very few positive results inbetween.
Can't argue too much about this but we need to have players develop above a first grade level. We need a coach who can develop guys to a rep level. It's no coincidence that the top 4 in the NRL are flush with rep players.
End of the day, a good coach leaves a team in better condition than he got it and in Madges time we have only regressed.
I think that sacking Madge would be a terrible move at this point in time, with the club right in the middle of a rebuilding phase.

While many people may not like Madge's style or his personality he is a proven winner and while we haven't set the world alight these last couple of seasons we haven't been horrendous.

More crucially, Maguire has proven that he is capable of bringing young players through and developing them to a first grade level.
