Giants open doors for major announcement
Monday 11th August 08
Huddersfield Giants will grant free admission for their next home game, when the club say they will be making the most important announcement in their modern history.
Intrigue surrounds the decision of the Giants to waive admission prices for Saturday nights home engage Super League match against high-flying Catalans Dragons.
Chairman Ken Davy said: There is no catch to this one-off offer. Put simply, I will be making an major announcement at the half-time break which I expect to go down as probably the biggest announcement in the clubs modern-day history.
In order to ensure that as many people get the news first hand we are cancelling all admission charges and making the game free of charge for all.
This news has already caused a stir in the club offices and I expect that effect to be multiplied many times over in the local community.
Davy, who is also chairman of football club Huddersfield Town, earlier this year announced cut-price season-tickets for the stadium partners which resulted in more than 16,000 sales for the new soccer season.
Any ideas as to what this could be???
