The game runs from dummy half, C Smith is the man, never injured either.

Cannot see us winning whilst he is playing.

You will see this in the ANZAC test, Luke goes well, but C Smith will control the game for us, and we will win.

Poor Jimmy is looking really smashed up in the face though. Anyone else notice it on Friday night? When he retires he'll be as wrecked looking as Toovey (whom was in the bar last weekend - looked sixty).

Maloney's defence might not be such an issue right as the Roosters are going forward at a great pace of knots. When winning 50-0, 28-0, etc, tackling, or lack of, isn't the most noticed thing for the winning side.

Origin will be a different story. Hope he makes the team though, it would be good for the Warriors as we made him into what he is today. No one can dispute that he was lost up in Central Coast (NSW) before we signed him.

I'd say that the way he has combined with Jennings on that left edge is a big reason as to why the score has been 0 for so many halves.

He has been outstanding on both sides of the ball.

Best of luck to Maloney, he made it.

Knocking off some of those big names for a spot is some achievement. If Mateo had played more like he did today then he could have made it too.

It may have helped the Warriors cause today due to the fact the NSW Origin team had been leaked a day early.

A great achievement for him.

I know people hate Origin in this forum but what's the Warriors count with Origin teams - past or present?

Tate, Maloney, Nielsen, Price, Lillyman...(Luck 18th man - wish he'd gotten a game)...mostly Qld'ers.

I hope he gets those crucial, big match sideline conversions. Swirling wind and all!

I've just watched the attempt for the Taylor try ('11 GF). It actually heads in then dips out right at the death. 18-12 and our boys were comin' home!

Maloney over Carney is a terrible pick

I think Carney can regard himself as incredibly unlucky. He's played fairly good football for the Sharks this year. I'd have Maloney back another year after the tripe he dished up at the Warriors last year.

Maloney has been going well no doubt about that

But Carney was there last year and has been playing fantastic footy the past 3-4 weeks since he came back. His long passing game is second to none and a long ball putting Jennings on the outside could have caused all sorts of problems

And Webb? Who's our stats man on this site? (I could look the info up but where's the fun in that?)

Brandy did of course, and perhaps Blake.
Webb didn't, but PJ Marsh did.

McKinnon was in the frame for a while (played City/Country one year), and Tookey should have made it too.

So (not always while playing for the Warriors) the list is:

Brandy NSW
Blake NSW
Simon NSW ** edited in**(cheers Cheops)
Campion Qld
Price Qld
Marsh Qld
Tate Qld
Nielsen Qld
Lillyman Qld
Maloney NSW.

That's not many over 18 years.

How many Aussies have played for the Warriors since 1995? Its not a bad % of eligable SOO players vs those who actually played SOO.

I just looked it up and apparently John Simon played 4 games for NSW (3 during Super League). Villasanti also played for Australia but never in SoO. I was surprised by just how few Australians we had in the early years - I think Blake and Alexander were the only 2 in 95 and 96
