Williams was worse, Matai would of gotten off if he wasnt such a grub but his record, he only needs to sneeze in the wrong direction and hes gone

It doesn't, but it does....and it will. Sliding scale - goes regular season, halved for finals, halved again for GF, halved once more or ignored for Origin (depending on level of superstar)

Why? They miss the Grand Final ultimately in the end. The rest doesn't matter

Proberbly both get Grade 1 charges not too much in them Williams will get off with the early plea, Matai 1-2 weeks only because of his record.

Williams' forearm went straight across Yow Yee's chest. There was only a slight clip of the chin, possibly enough to get him a week off though.

Matai's wasn't bad at all. Slater has come up with far worse dozens of times and never even been questioned.

You need a new TV and some method of replaying the game.

Makes no sense

What I mean is that they'll give him the lowest grading possible, like they did for Hayne in 09.... but with Matai's record that will still mean a week or 2.

Until Matai has a 2-3 year period without an offence he'll forever be looking at longer suspensions than anyone else because of his loading. And rightfuly so as he is an absolute grub

If Williams goes then so does Wallace. It shouldn't matter that Wallace is a pissant. His was as high as Williams.

Matai actually threw his knees out in front of his body FFS.

He was going for a slater-esque slide tackle, trying to stop a try and got him flush with both knees.

Any other time of year and it would be a 4+ week suspension. For a GF they'll probably give him a week or 2

Unless it's Slater, then the referees and match review committee just close their eyes and pretend it never happened.

Being in Melbourne Ill have to wait for the highlights before I judge but at this stage I say Williams "no" and Matai "yes".

while you all think they should be sent off and suspended for 20 weeks the facts are:

williams hit shoulder and slid up - grade one 75 points and free to play g/f

matai - no different to what billy slater does every second week but should be worried all the same. I am sure slater has been charged before and got the 75 points. 20% uploading for record but 25% early plea = free to play!!!

but if deemed to deliberately lead with the knees = 200 points and season over but his first reaction was to kick the ball and not deliberately knee.

its disgraceful for anyone to miss a GF the judiciary system needs to be tweaked for finals games.

its the showpiece of the NRL you want the best players of both teams out there.
