Points of interest:-

- No big guns on yet (no changes)

- Witt's kickinga dn goalkicking superb!

- Halves combo of Burns adn Witt looking good.

- Stephenson strong at centre with a double to his name.

- Matt Ballin and Sam Harris leading the way in the forwards department.

Overall, strong display from Manly after going 6 behind early and with the big guns in the shape of Ben Kennedy, Brent Kite, Steven Menzies, Michael Monaghan, Terry Hill and Chris Hicks yet to appear - the team looks capable of setting an imposing score by 80 minutes!


Further report from another expert present at the game (DN):

Manly are smashing them with a reserve grade side! They are getting three men into each tackle and getting teh Tigers on their back on every occasion.

Defence is winning us the match while everyone is doing their job in attack.

While Monaghan is awesome there .

Willow and Monaghan were a great combo at the end of the year for Manly in the halves. Witt doesn't need to be a brilliant attacker for Manly to pile on the points.

Mate im not laughin at the fact the guy is hurt .. it was a tongue in cheek "i told u so" remark that everyone has been jokin about all offseason. I dun wanna see any player from any team get injured...

no .. setting up a try is doing something that every other player on the field cant do. Anyone can pass a ball to someone with an open line ahead of em... that isnt setting up a try. Setting up a try is puttin up a smart bomb, a clever chip of the top, a 40/20. Does Witt do these well?? NO!
