Max's money getting Manly out of trouble doesn't worry me in the slightest. He's a business man and one day he'll want to see a return on his investment.

Tahu, Stringer and Morrison have been well worth it. To compete nowadays you need to spend money on the open market. Every club is trying to buy a premiership, even Souths. However when a Manly fan accuses another club of something that Manly have done it gets a bit rich.....

Max actually plans to sell his share back to the football club over time.

Max did not pour his hard earned $$$ into Manly for a return on his investment. Dont make much money from a RL club.

He gave us his money becuase he loves the club, I for one am extremely happy he saved this club. The man is a champion!!!

I know you are not having ago at Manly for taking this route to ensure our survival but there are lots of other fans who do. I can not understand that mentality.

As for buying players or premierships as people put it. The record books show that we won the premiership not bought it. Cant help Arko wanted success, just took the other clubs a bit longer to catch on.

Would you be complaing if Parra won a few premierships in the 60's or 70's as a result of your club buying players? I think not but I am sure you will argue otherwise ;-)

Kind of funny you're are already planning your 2007 season, and counting on Lyon. Maybe your club should try and bring up some juniors before you criticise Parramatta losing their's. You know why you don't lose your juniors? Because they all suck. Parra lose kids and are still topping the table in Premier League, and 2 points behind the leaders in Flegg. We have the best depth in the comp, but you clowns still go on about losing players like Tonga, who is doing NOTHING this year, playing bad footy.

Oh and FYI, Smith's contract ends in 2006, he's gone after that and likely Jason Taylor will take over, so don't go on with that BS Brian Smith still being there.
