I feel bad for him, he's going to cop it in the next year.

The "fans" are going to pin all their hopes on him and should the eels falter next year it'll be all his fault.

I'm personally of the opinion that he doesn't necessarily have that big an influence on whether we win or lose, he's just another cog in the machine.

But I'm hopeful, he should at the very least be able to take some of the load off of BA and let him have some breathing room now. Hopefully we hear news of more needed resources being allocated in the near future.

Fans who pin success on him next year are fools.

As you said, he has been employed to take the load off BA and let BA do what he does best. \

They way I see it Mark O'Neil is just moving into a watered down role of what Daniel Anderson once occupied.

Just read the appointment of MON on here. Wow. Would not have come up with his name in a million years.

Time will tell if he is up to it or not. I think most would have been more comfortable with a bigger name or current boss from another club.

I am a little confused as to why the HoF appointment needs to meet with the approval of numpty fans on a forum such as all of us. FFS, the Board picked the person they felt was best suited. End Of Story.
Period.

Because the deathriders were running out of material heading into summer. This gave them a new lease of death.

Geez, I can't wait to see them go off when we announce the part-time dummy half coach.

Yeah, lets assume for a minute the review identified the need for some specialist position-based coaching. And one of those positions was dummy-half.

Who would you want being employed part-time to do that coaching?

Joey Johns works PT like that.

I reckon they:
1. advertised the role
2. contacted others who didnt apply that they were interested in
3. Shortlisted the applicants based on skills and experience
4. Did some interviews and tests
5. Refined shortlist
6. Did some reference checks
7. Offered to their preferred candidate

Unfortunately you cannot force someone like a Phil Moss to apply, so i reckon they followed a recruitment process and hired the best candidate for the job.

Whether that turns out to be the right choice or not is for the hindsighters to reflect on at some point in the future and I agree, let's at least let him start before he hang him out to dry.

We didn’t have to force Phil. He wanted the job.
