Marshall and Farah

As mentioned before Marshall and Farah over ride our plays to a point of predictability,Potter has to address problem as all our tries now are coming from kicks.

You're very sensitive to criticism of Benji. Despite what I said in the first post I think we should persevere with him for the moment but I certainly wouldn't be rushing to extend his contract. His form had been abysmal for a while and his feat of leading the comp in try assists last year glossed over his horrible error rate. The reality is that he takes the wrong option far too often for a player of his experience. If he's going to play as a de facto half back he needs to show more composure. But he continues in erratic fashion with those off the cuff plays that worked when he had speed and elusiveness but rarely pay off now.

Cowboys and dragons scored less then we did against Melbourne. We also scored twice against the best team in the comp, should have had a 3rd try. This all happened with our five eight injured for most of the match and a brand new halfback

Lawrence's defence was much improved. He got bugger all quality ball or space.

Reddy thinks his shoulders are hands, hopeless prick needs the arse asap.

Tedesco's poor defence cost us two tries before he was moved to fullback far too late.

Anasta's kicking game was just pathetic. The new kids all played great.

JT was standing at fullback on defence long before they scored their second try.44

Not long after the actual number 1 dropped the bomb (Was that a knock on? Was hard to tell at the ground)

Precisely. While everybody is buoyed by our fantastic resolve for 65 mins, it's damning that in the last few weeks we've barely made a line break. While the outside backs are hopelessly ineffectual, the playmakers must also shoulder responsibility, they're not giving the outside backs any quality ball.

I don't see how it's relevant to compare our performance against melbourne to that of st George or the cowboys. If you'd watched the St George game you would've seen that the Dragons at least made a few line breaks. We scored exclusively from kicks. Our attack still looks pedestrian. I don't mean to focus on the negatives of what was a very very good game for us. With that level of aggression and urgency in defence we'll be competitive regardless of whether our attack improves. Just expect a lot of low scoring games.

Disagree on Lawrence. Got stood up 4 times. 3 of those times his team mates covered him. The fourth he got stood up and the Storm streaked for a try

Oh and Farah made a really poor call going to Marshall on the last to pelt it at Ayshfords head. Braith was screaming for it on the left edge he set.

Should get better with time though

That's the play that Farah needed to go to Anasta for.

Aside from that I thought Farah was good.

Marshall has been poor all year, IMO. But he's a bit of a protected species around here.

We are paying our six and nine half a million a year to make smart calls at crucial time, but they continue to do the same dumb things year after year.Okay they do a lot of good things especially Farah but their are no excuses any more,Cronk and Smith don't throw 100/1passes or starta blue when the game is on a edge, they play the percentage. They let us down big time when the chips were down and that is why Sheens signed Anasta ,to have a player who was smart enough to make the percentage calls rather than the hail marys

Farah is still worth his weight in gold,Marshall I would flick tomorrow

Tiges are going well, new roster and coach... Thought the added new debutant against the Storm was silly but might prove to be a master stroke, the kid looks like everything the Tiges need.. Tadesco was very good also!
shouldn't be dissapointed in that performance..

Your all a bunch of f**king trolls. That was a brilliant game we put on untill the last 10 minutes where we conceded 6 penalties. More discipline and we could have had them. Marshall was injured so I cant criticise him. Anasta was solid I dont know wtf game u merkins were watching. I would actually consider switching teddy to fullback purely due to his defence. Moltzen could do better job on wing in terms of defense. Lawrence is shocking. He has lost all his speed. I would consider giving Simona or Bein a crack. Untill Lawrence can show he is better than them. Bodene Thomson was unbelievable. He should retain the 11 jersey permanently

I'll have to watch again, but i swear the Storm winger waltzed out of a tedesco tackle on two occasions, both lead to tries.

f**k, what an effort. That was a fair effort from the Tigers last night. Really gave the competition leaders a fair run for their coin.

Farah is a a f**king inspiration and a great leader of this club but last night his discipline let us down pretty badly. Hes attacking options out of dummy half are unrivaled in the NRL. But 14-7 penalty count is no where good enough.

As for Benji, he looks old and tired and hes so predictable. Most of the stuff he does is off the cuff and when it come s off its usually a fluke.

Looks like he will be out for a few weeks with this toe injury, so see what happens there.

I don't think any one can argue about the effort and aggression put in last night, our discipline needs to be addressed though. In fairness to Potter he has stated that he is more concerned about working on our defence before tinkering with the attack,I can accept that but how long do you wait before its a concern?

I can handle a steady year if it means we become aggressive up front & better defensively.

Our mob are natural born attackers, won't take long to sort that out.

Defence & aggression has been sorely lacking for ages
