When I do watch bits of Masterchef I guess i focus on what they're doing and the food, not the contestants. I remember not wanting Julie to win was it last year? God knows what they're really like. Its like Jessica in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. "I'm not really bad, I'm just drawn this way." But generally, couldn't care less about them. I don't find them particularly great or annoying. They are just fodder for the editor.

Some of the food these untrained amateurs manage to pull off is pretty amazing though.

I have to admit that I was drooling the whole time during last nights show. I love pasta and the pasta they put up looked exceptional.

Tonight sees Alice, Julia, Andy, Ben and Deb up for elimination. During the preview they were trying to sell Alice not using her immunity pin. Surely she will use it? I have to say though that she would be the one person in the comp dopey enough not to. I hope Deb loses.

Andy and Ben are rocking a serious bromance. But both of them and Julia are good enough cooks to out do Deb i think

Deb is psycho. Was anybody surprised when she said she was going through menopause? I love how julia refused to take her crap. Deb and alice are the two I can't stand.

Andy and ben's friendship has become progressively weirder. I think beau feels left out.

Yea i dont think anyone spat a drink out when they found out Deb was going through menopause, it just fit the bill. She's broken down again tonight even before being eliminated.

Glad she's gone, a shame alice got through with her pin in tact.

Beau would have to be feeling bad, I think Andy is more into Ben than Ben is. I worry about Andy's feeling when he finds out Ben isnt that into him

I’m also glad Deb is gone but I was half hoping Alice would lose. She is an idiot who only kept her pin to make herself look like a nice person. I am sick to death of seeing the stupid look on her face every time she is announced as the winner or merely safe. It is as if someone told her she won the lotto.

Mindy's reactions p1ss me off everytime she wins anything or gets a compliment. and the 'I did not think that was going to happne" comment. every. single. time. argh.

Glad Deb is gone though. Was worried we'd lose one of the boys instead.

I saw Mindy in Paddington (Qld) the other week. Walking hand in hand with a short haired lady. If you get my drift.

Well this is the 2nd last week so they are really rushing things with 9 contestants still left. I am assuming they want it done and dusted by the time the Olympics start (finale is next Wednesday apparently).

Tonight is Wade, Ben and Alice in a pressure test which will become Ben and Wade in a pressure test because surely even Alice isn’t dopey enough to not use immunity in semi finals week. I wouldn’t be surprised if the judges replaced her if she does use immunity.

they're cute together though, one of the few enjoyable bits of a show with way too much Mindy and Julia for my liking.

It made me despise her even more. She is purely not using it to give the impression that she is a nice person. No one is fooled. I definitely expect Kylie and probably Mindy to use theirs tonight. I hope Alice doesn?t and I hope she loses.

They are all getting a bit annoying probably because the show's been going on for awhile now. Audra is probably the only one who doesn't annoy me.

Beau's funny too, he's like a puppy dog and it's adorable, I wouldn't want to see him win it though.

George is easily the least likeable of the hosts. Preston comes across as genuine in spite of the fact he's a food critic with wanky taste in clothes, while Gary is pretty even and holds the show together. George just trots out cliche after overemphasized cliche, over-dramatizes everything he says and just generally annoys me.

Would definitely watch Mindy vs Julia, The Lovening ftr.

I get that they want them to cry for the ads, but ffs, George just does not even try to be subtle about it any more.
