Don't read too much into the form from the first few rounds . Remember round 4 last year, we were being tlaked up as top 4. 6 weeks later and it was, what happened. Food for thought.

You could see the difference in the warm up last night. There was intensity and purpose. Packer looked angry and ready to play. I think Aloiai might be in for the year we were hoping from him last year. Matterson is a classy player, didn't really do too much but looks very capable.

The most pleasing thing was the way the team closed the game out, they looked really composed, in control and everyone knew their role. Only game one but Madge looks to be the right man for the job. Tigers did well trading up.

On a side note, I was sitting next to Luke Garner's father and brother at the game, should have seen them go up when he went over the top of DCE for the try. The old man was beaming, it was good to see. About 20 Tigers fans come over and shook his hand. Good bloke.

Pretty satisfied with the second half. Good to at least get a win for the faithful at Leichhardt finally.

Seems that Jennings may be a bit off the pace which is disappointing.

I got there right on kick off but I was listening to 2GB and Brohman said he’d watched both warm ups and the Tigers looked much slicker and intense. Commented he was very impressed by it. Good to see he wasn’t just talking shit.

With weather that they played in, that’s a good result, in a dry game played like that, we win by 40

What a load. No organisation, same old Benji rubbish, Robbie played for himself. Luke Brooks caught a cold with the amount of time he stood around without the ball.

Benji was rubbish but I reckon we don't win that game if Robbie isn't there, or at least it wouldve been a lot tighter. Agree with Brooks though, would like to see Farah favour him moreso than Marshall, it's just cringeworthy now

To be quite honest, Brooks wasnt playing to the conditions. He wasnt playing the dull percentages that win you games in the wet. Farah and Marshal quite rightfully took the game management role off him in the second half and strangled Manly out of the contest.
Brooks was then freed up to play what he saw.
