When you put those teams up against each other on paper, it is even more amazing. Brown does deserve some major credit for getting a win with that side. You wouldn't even lock in that 17 to win the NSW Cup. Well done to all.

Two swallows doesn't make a summer but every win for us is huge. It gives the young guys belief they can do it, and it shows the rest of the NRL we're fighters. All of a sudden if you're James Graham or even Cronk, you're at least considering what your experience could bring to a young side going in a positive direction. Every win is worth about 6 points for us in terms of credibility and faith in Brown's plan.

I'm really not sure what kind of football Brown coaches at this stage, but today the gameplan worked. I agree, wins are more valuable than gold for us right now.

Best thing is we came up against a great team that gave us no respect and we made them pay for it! A few teams have stone that this year thinking they'd walk over us and we've just missed beating them.

Such great energy by entire team. While 80mins everyone put in for each other.

I'll give my credit to the halves. Lamb and Feeney aren't world beaters but they played hard today and committed. It was clearly a game plan to kick it dead which frustrates the shit out of raiders. Whilst they didn't exactly change on the run they did provide some great short balls for tries. (Lamb for Sione and Feeney for Wardle).

Also I thought Feeneys energy was a big thing for team. Brushed off on players to keep them pumped when a mistake was made.

Saiffiti absolutely brilliant as mentioned. My man of the match. But while team. Stood up today. Well done gents.

Last week was one for the naysayers, this week one for the faithful.

Still convinced we are going in the right direction, things will click sooner or later.
They sure clicked today. Honestly, I feel like Sione and Daifiti deserve a great majority of the credit. Their efforts were special today. Credit to the rest of the team for following them.

Just really, really happy with this win. Not just because it was a win, but our pack stood up against one of the biggest in the comp and held their own; Sione, Yates and Daniel Saifiti were absolutely incredible. Lamb and Feeney - for their experience and the state of the side - showed signs they're a solid pairing and Fenney is doing enough to keep Hodkinson out. Fitzgibbon was, admittedly, solid and full credit soldiering on and holding his own with the banged up knee.

To do it without Barnett and Buhrer too, at least in my opinion, makes it even more impressive. Goes to show this side has talent and an experienced head like Graham would truly do wonders.

Don't care if it's scrappy, this side clearly has a confidence issue and winning is the only solution to ridding that. Winning at any cost will simply lead to them developing the winning attitude. Still a bunch of kids trying to figure it out all at once; hopefully we can repeat today's effort a few more times, gain a little respect and look a little more appealing for players on the market.

That's it exactly. Not much talent or experience in this squad and we were missing a big chunk of the little we do have. But we keep trying 90% of the time.

The culture is a million miles better than it was last year which is basically the only thing Brown does have complete control of.

We need a bit of luck to go our way with recruitment now and we are in a position financially to make that happen.

Also a shout out to Ross. He did a lot of the hard runs out there today.

The three stand outs for mine were Ross, Sione and Daniel Saifiti. I thought Sio and Gagai were very quiet today.

Is it feasible that Sione is our captain from now on? Unless we sign someone like a Graham, I can't see anyone taking it off him. He's extremely young to rely on as a captain long term. Maybe Buhrer steps in when he's healthy?

The culture is definitely better, no doubt about it. We're a few signings off consistently impressing yet, but I definitely have a renewed faith that there is talent in the team after today. Some of our kids just need to grow up faster. Lamb put his dukes up today, which was excellent. Really needs to sort out his short kicking game, though... it is not NRL standard.

It's amazing....

A few were starting to push the knife into Brown saying he's not a coaches arse.....

Now he conjures up a way to have a team of kids to beat the Raiders. Biggest pack and outside backs in the comp, more skill, bigger pay packets etc

Line in the sand people......

Are you in for the Brown plan that will take some time or out?

I'm in for discussing the merits of it on a footy forum, lol. Has anyone really said lets take a knife to Brown? I think the most I've said is that if things don't change in the next 12 months then questions should be asked. Why is it such a dirty thought to have some sort of time based expectations of a professional footy coach? This isn't under 9's.

I like a tonne of what Brown has done, my main concern with him is in his recruitment strategy. I'm not certain he can pull it off.

If we could get those sorts of efforts out of them more often, then we'd probably win more matches in general. I guess that's one of those things that will come with age. They both really played out of their skins today, and it lifted the blokes around them.

I think that is what Brown has been saying all year about the young guys. They can put 50 or 60 mons of quality together but need to learn to do it for 80. Even today they ran flat for 10 or 15 mins.

Yeah but the quality and quantity was higher today. Dan has had a few games like that, I'm not sure Sione has ever had that much impact on a single game of footy. It was like all of his best games rolled into one today.

Hopefully they will get there. I've never really doubted that Sione would, Dan has worried me this year up until the past week or so. At the end of the day yeah, they're just kids with a fair bit of plod around them.
