In Brown's defence, much of this side is still reserve grade footy and even less than that in some areas. Our defence is never going to be good if our centres aren't NRL standard and we have one good front rower in the middle.
He's had 3 years to assemble a squad. How long do you give him? We put up with 2 years of total dross to end up with this? More dross?

Ramien is exactly the center we need. In this era of sub-par centers, he could become the best of them all.

Brown bought three quarters of this team and they kids he is meant to be developing are going backwards.
And no one looking like a first grader in the lower grades, either. Is Nick Meaney any good, or a bit of a myth? He's the only one I see anyone mention as a stand out.

Whats sad is our 2017 Imo showed a lot of heart and that was something I hoped we would build on. The 2018 team is completely gutless.

Yeah, I agree somewhat however Ivan Cleary has shown that you can turn it around - and quickly. We are turning around and going backwards - which I didn't think was possible.

Apparently Cleary had opposed sessions most of the preseason and the losing side was punished. I don't know what the punishment was but something like that can't hurt this mob can it?

I'm so angry with this performance. If we can't announce 3 or 4 major signings and win both games in the next 2 weeks, Brown can go. His words are no longer enough. Something is badly rotten and it goes far deeper than just lack of talent.

Joey, Bedsy, Chief...anyone who gives half a shit about the Newcastle Knights...please do anything you can to help us out. I don't want our club to be shit forever

It's a bit f**king hard to build an NRL standard squad when your club was virtually f**king broke and had a single top tier player (albeit we might not have felt the same way) in Gagai. Or have you forgotten the absolutely shambolic state this club has been in? The simple reality is whether you want to admit it or not is that building a good squad from scratch when you have absolutely no reason to attract players isn't easy. 3 years to clear deadwood, we had a season where our average experience was less than a season, a year where we fielded one of the least experienced teams in history.

Nah, where we were at was a f**king abomination that should have seen us fold to be where we are now is a credit to Brown and Mooney. It takes more than 3 years to get it sorted and if you think otherwise then you're absolutely f**king delusional.

Big difference. Tigers didn't have a shambolic salary cap like ours, they didn't have backended contracts, players being overpaid considerably etc. Many of the players they released were all off contract at the same time so they were able to move them on freely without any issue. They're based in Sydney so many of their recruits from NSW clubs didn't have to relocate; it was easier for those players to choose between them and a club like us.

lol f**k, take a breath. Besides Fitz, who has improved in their time under Brown? It's not just about results... there are kids in this team that have enough experience to be better players now. Even Brown himself will tell you that.

There have been coaches that have turned around rosters even as bad as ours much more quickly than 3 years.
