Team vs Sharks next week? DSaf expected back. Possible questions marks over Pearce, Klemmer and Barnett.

1 Ponga
2 Toa
3 Tuala
4 Shib
5 Hunt
6 Crossland
7 Pearce (Lino if Pearce out)
8 Klemmer (DSaf if Klemmer out)
9 Randall
10 JSaf
11 Fitzgibbon
12 Guerra
13 Barnett (King if Barnett out)
--
14 Mann
15 EseEse
16 DSaf (Saulo if Klemmer out)
17 Jones (or do we have any decent edge backrower?)

Dunno about decent but Sione could be back soon....

Pearce must finally be dropped. He is a total dead weight. Even the strengths he had are now gone. It's normal for him to offer nothing but now with his poor defence, he's an asset to the opposition. I know they were bad across the board but even when the pack dominates, we offer nothing because of him.

Please tell me how Hoy, Lino, Crosslands or heck, even Klemmer could be worse at 7. Pearce is currently the worst halfback in the league. Surely we can't keep flogging a long dead horse.

Re Pearce...

He needs to pull the pin at the end of the season.

A couple people here have had the rose coloured glasses on for a long, long while watching Pearce and they have ignored the reality of his abilities whilst taking a million a season.

O'Brien needs to be careful, or he could lose his job if he backs him for a contract extension.

Ok, I just got home from work and I’m so glad I didn’t watch this.
Before I go through this chat, wtf happened?
I had this thought in my head last night - Souths and Roosters picked up their game this weekend and are starting to show what the competition will be like in the finals, maybe we will stand up also and show everyone what we have.... apparently nothing.

Don't do it, ignore the chat, ignore this game. We lost and were dreadful is all you need to know.

Do you have a second team you follow by chance? Maybe concentrate on them.

Don’t read through this thread, don’t do it to yourself. Go and talk with your loved ones and you’ll be doing your mental health a favour.

Not much fun today, effort overall was terrible, Mann has had a few bad games in past but this was his worst. Forwards were dominated, back 5 seemed to be constantly working us out of our 20. From overall play think they, back 5, played ok, think Lino was at times trying things, Pearce seems unable to change the game plan when nothing is working. Our pack was ordinary with Fitz at least making a break or two. Bench seemed poorly used considering how bad we were going, Saulo and King tried hard but the flood gates had opened.
Changes need to be made, positions and game plan, need to win 3/4 or we miss a home semi.

Best kick of the game was Mann's from dummy half.

What is up with the bombs? They aren't even the hard to catch types. No spin, not that high, not between winger and full back. Has anyone in a press conference asked Obi why we do it?

Why not kick it between winger and fullback and cause some confusion? Why not try putting in a banana to catch them off guard? Why not kick on the 3rd or 4th and get them in two minds?

Then again why don't we attack? No wrap arounds, no structured attacking plays, no inside balls. Where are our try assists and line break assists?

Second half we struggled to get out of our own half but persisted with the same kicks. I didn't see a single attempt at a 40/20.

Yosh, that has been Pearce's stock standard kick for a decade. What else did you expect when we signed him???

And before Pearce, we had Mullo do the same thing.

Serious question... how many of you have contemplated leaving this sh*tshow that is the Knights behind and move on to a successful club like Roosters or Storm? I have been a Knights fan since 88 but seriously. I couldn’t support another club but im always finding myself in awe of these successful clubs wishing that one day we will have those glory days.

Imagine being a Panthers fan right now enjoying 10 straight wins and more than likely ending up with a Minor Premiership....

Imagine being a Roosters fan and knowing you may possibly win 3 comps in a row....

Imagine being a Storm fan knowing you have been one of the best teams since 2006 and never play a bad game...

Then you realise you’re a knights fan and there is no light at the end of the tunnel, only an oncoming train...

Why do we even bother...

AOB with the talk about focusing week in and out on the upcoming game and not on our position in the finals. That matters and might get us there but it doesn't seem to work. Finals would be in the back of the minds of every player.
Maybe we need to focus the passion on a top 4 spot and get that focus into the game. It would be a huge boost for the club, supporters and town to get to the top 4.

Almost word for word how I assessed it.

I've invested too heavily on meds for the ups and downs to consider that. Being stable is not an option.

I wouldn’t support another club that already exists, however, I’m born and bred in Bris and if they get the 2nd team up here I just might consider it.

As for this season, I think the best we can hope for (seeing as everyone says the top 8 is set) is to go out competitive in week 1.
