I personally take great pleasure in witnessing Lovett's six hitups per game for a total of 18 metres gained.

I can't remember anyone shitter in the NRL.

Im no expert on the cap rules, but shouldnt we get some sort of exemption now ballin has medically retired? Parra got some benefit when watmough retired from memory.
Ballin is off contract at the end of this season. We may get some dispensation for half of this year but it will not count for next years cap.

But he has retired effective immediately. This should mean his remaining cap space could be used to either employ someone else, or bring up another couple of younguns into the top 25?

It's tricky. If he has retired on his own merit, then we may have to pay out his contract (depends what is in his contract) which would mean we get no relief in the cap.

If he has retired due to medical reasons, we will pay out his contract but can make a sort of insurance claim against the paid out money which can then be used back in the cap.

We won't really know what happened.

It seems like Cleary is putting guys in the team to say go out and earn a contract for next year. Guys like Lovett and Co keep getting picked despite still not signed rather then playing guys who are contracted?

Also I still believe we are much more dangerous when Matt mckillrick is on the field. Liddle is getting picked on potential kinda like how Brooks was 3 years ago. I guess playing with a better pack.

At the same time considering this year is a right off I don't mind him getting experience in long minutes.

Despite it being the Knights the team really needs a win just for confidence. The games against sharks (×2) the parra game and dragons just one win from those games could of changed a few things and all the negativity. That's 8 points they could of got despite not playing well which is what 8th is on.

I would have sironen back over Lovett. Been in decent form for manly.
This is what scares me. Players leave and then hit career best form. Wouldn't surprise me if Sironen's form had an impact on on the 3 merkins decision to leave

What's so damn annoying is the inability of the coaches Siro & Blair played under to be able to get them to perform.

Nathan Brown was going nowhere with us goes to Souths & then parra & has improved massively @ both clubs to become an excellent forward. The coaches pre IC have been hugely culpable in not developing players with potential & not getting players with obvious ability to perform anywhere near the best of there ability.

I'm sick of us gifting other clubs players with latent talent who suddenly deliver re that talent as soon as they leave us.
