Mataora made 0 meters in 20 minutes last week.
Maybe so but based on last year and injury setbacks this year deserves a go, looking at all the other front rowers besides the safiti boys nothing is working. Last week he came on very late and we were already going backwards with little ball

To be fair Mataora's 0 hit ups for 0 metres is probably on par with Starling's usual 8 carries for 17 metres.

Probably right but for this game I would prefer both mataora and Starling in on bench along with king, Jacob to start. Buhrer on bench if fit.

Mataora's effort last week was disappointing. You would think that after not playing first grade for so long he'd be chomping at the bit to have a few runs when he got on the field but he literally didn't touch the ball. I'm not expecting him to change the game in 20 mins but you would think he'd try and fight to get his first grade spot back. Based on that effort I'd be fine with us letting him go at the end of the season.

Why does someone deserve a shot based on last years form and getting an injury? Doesn't really make sense.

Buhrer apparently I'm. I didn't think he was named in the squad.
He was named - missed it.
Completed the captain's run ok.

Anybody see any of the reggies today - 46 to 18 win against the Tigers sounds OK...wondering how several of the players went - Lamb, Cogger, Pauli Pauli, Pearsall as hooker?

A few changes. I expected Stone in.
Nathan Ross 2. Ken Sio, 3. Dane Gagai, 4. Pete Mata'utia, 15. Joe Wardle, 20. Trent Hodkinson, 7. Jaelen Feeney, 8. Daniel Saifiti, 9. Danny Levi, 10. Josh King, 11. Sione Mata'utia, 12. Lachlan Fitzgibbon, 13. Mitch Barnett. Interchange: 14. Jamie Buhrer, 17. Jacob Saifiti, 19. Sam Stone, 21. Josh Starling.

Wardle named on the wing with Gagai and Pete in the centres- hopefully that means Gagai will shift out one wider and finally take his rightful place in the back line.

I'm guessing it will be Gagai back to fullback after that pathetic defensive effort in the centres, and the fact he was playing fullback before having a post-Origin rest out wide.

It's not what I would do, but expecting to see:

1. Gagai
2. Sio
3. Wardle
4. P Mat
5. Ross

Yep fingers crossed that's the way it works. Making way for SKD.

^^ I mean Gagai to wing.

Brown did say in the last presser that Ross will stay at the back.

I tipped the Knights at 13+

Which means the Tigers will probably win off the back of some penalties you didn't even know existed until today, and won't see awarded again until the NRL is a 20 team competition...

Send in the clowns!
