It's almost like they're afraid to win or something.

Honestly most weeks they're not that bad, they put themselves into positions to win but always f**k it up.

Can't just come down to inexperience. It's something deeper.

Offside I think. Felt like a bit of a square up but overall cannot complain about refereeing. We got a few decisions today and prob got.lucky on a few penalties that should have been given against us.

We definitely got the bounce of the ball today until the last five minutes.

Will anything come of Pete's trip?

I'll have to check it out later. It sounded like they were pinged for off-side which seems improbable since the players were all coming into formation off the kick.

Best of luck next week guys. If Brisbane play like they did against Melbourne, the Knights are in with every chance.

They had Bryan Fletcher on.MMM today who spent a few lean years at Souffs. The same question was put to him re the Knights and his experience at Souths.

He was quite insightful. Said you are out in front and are almost waiting for something to go wrong and when it evidently does it feels like nothing you can do to stop the momentum.

The answer is to inject players from a winning system. No other way.

No vision by Lamb when he took that kick they scored off.
It's rarely done but I like the idea of someone back in attack in cases where you are trying to hold the lead.
I reckon we did too much of trying to hold it.

Knights should have won that game . Lamb looks lost during games and appears to lack the basic skill level set to be 1st grade playmaker. Worst playmaker since Robbie Tew and Ben Kusto. Fitzgibbon never runs hard

Wadel is a gun. Knights defence was top notch at times.

Bad luck knights. Was cheering for you. As a saints man, I know how frustrating Nathan Brown is

Cheers mate. I think we have just had 3 confidence sapping weeks and the Broncs just know how to win. Plus are record against u is terrible.

The good news for the long-term:

I didn't rate Dan's first stint but once he came back on he and Jacob were both strong today. 145 metres in 43 minutes for Dan, 120 metres in 41 minutes for Jacob. Get Ese'ese(if not injured...) and Graham next to them and we have a great prop rotation. I was impressed that Jacob stood up and changed the momentum after we were getting hammered early - he was the one we weren't sure about but as I said in the other thread, he has closed the gap the last month and looking much more confident.

Levi had a good game and is looking more at home in the top-grade.

Buhrer is just class. He showed today how much some leaders next year will improve us. I keep pinning my hopes on it but I seriously hope we get Graham. Guerra will help too. I'm not going to let myself dream about Maloney at this stage..

Needless to say, Pete was great but he is a known quantity now IMO.

Spot on, winning is culture and habit.

Teams like the 1960s dragons and NY Yankees would win the game before taking the field

Anyway.... Good luck guys. Keep your chins up . You have some great young players, just need to weed a couple of duds out and gain experience.

Knights will be back. No question (Back to the Dragons forum)

Totally agree. I actually think Buhrer to hooker and Jacob and Paea got us back on the front foot. Dan struggled at the start and was appropriately replaced after 20.

When Buhrer went back to the edge he was his usual self and Levi came back better.

Should Buhrer start at hooker?

They did that a few times before Buhrer's injury. Jamie played the first 20-25 at hooker and then moved into the backrow while Danny played the rest of the game at hooker. I wouldn't be surprised if they go back to that it some point this season.

If there are any massochists about (let's face it, there are a few here), can somebody tell me how much longer the final kick would have been over the penalty Hokko kicked early in the second half?
