It really just is experienced players we are lacking, brown is right if kostjasyn and mullen were playing we would of won a few games this year.with our lack of experience we shouldnt even be in contest with any of the big sides like the game against the sharks and penrith. Im anxious to hear who we got lined up for next year.

Way it is I reckon.
Levi starts well then goes flat but comes back well after a break.

Hooker is now the most demanding position, physically on the field and played by quick smaller guys in the middle third . And must follow the ruck in attack

With experience, Levi will get better and be an actual 80 min player. (Anyone can be on the field for 80mins. That's why you get 80 min players fading in and out of games. A true 80 min player, puts 100% the entire 80min)

They're not offering him the money he wants.

Bravo, the matautia gravy train coming to a screeching halt. Brownie for PM

It might be forced with injury but I still reckon Buhrer needs to be sole captain going forward.

Cya Pete

Interesting question. How would it look now if we had have let the Dogs take the Matuatias for both clubs 3 years ago when we toppwd their offer?

He's not meant to be on much this year so he must be asking for a decent raise.

Let him go then. He is base nrl standard and has been playing above himself this year I reckon. Damn shame. 2 or 3 of those kids with a bit more size could have been guns...

I think Sione is good. Chanel has potential yet unrealised through injury but still has a lot to learn to be a 1st grader.

Pat is shit and Pete would be a star in ESL. Just my view...

I've had a chance to calm down a bit and put it into perspective:

If we're being completely honest with the experience/talent level the squad currently has we really have no buinsess even competing in the games we have done this year. Although I find it much more painful consistently losing games we should have won (I find the drubbings easier to handle) I suppose we do need to take some solice in the fact that they're generally punching above their weight even if frustrating as hell with all the games they're finding ways to lose.

Might do all you super knights fans to go back on this thread to 4pm and read what you have said. I thought the boys all played hard, tried guts out, went really close, the knocking of Pete who had a very good game was disappointing and I bleed for Lamb who was put in a terrible position of having to salvage a draw for extra time, not a win.
Today I was bitterly disappointed by the loss, thought we had the win, but I am now feeling for our players, especially the young ones, not merkins but knights.

I thought the 2nd 40 was close to our best all year. We defended well and all our forwards were running with intent.

On Pete, I thought he was immense today close to if not our best. I thought Paea did enough to keep a bench spot.

Also Trent's best game in knights colours

Next week;
1.Nathan Ross
2.Ken Sio
3.Dane Gagai
4.Pete Mata'utia
5.Chanel Mata'utia
6.Brock Lamb
7.Trent Hodkinson
8.Micky Paea
9.Danny Levi
10.Josh King
11.Sione Mata'utia
12.Lachlan Fitzgibbon
13.Mitch Barnett

14.Jamie Buhrer
15.Daniel Saifiti
16.Jacob Saifiti
17.Luke Yates

Would all depend on how they developed in the Dogs system of course.

From our side, at this point, we have got very little value out of the $2.25m paid for 2015/16/17. Could say that for plenty of the contracts handed out by Michael "The Millionaire Maker" Hagan though.

We have got massive value out of Pete. Sione has been important for us even if he hasn't lit the world on fire like we thought. Pat and Chanel - zero value.
