Scrappy, arsey but it's a win in a game that looked absolutely certain to follow the same trend as most games this year. If they walk away with confidence of winning a game by grinding out their opponents, then I'm happy.

But despite the quality, there was soooooo much good to come from today. Saifiti twins were monsters again. Levi is immense; surely has played his way into the 14 NZ jumper or even pushing out Luke for the 9. But we absolutely need to start getting our backs to be aware of Levi's runs and getting them to back up. The amount of points that go begging each week needs to be fixed. Ponga will be PERFECT; a legit Smith/Slater combo and that's not a stretch by any means. Buhrer's leadership can't be understated; Sione is growing into the captaincy role too. SKD is proving his worth. Lamb looked confident today and held his own plenty.

Just feels good to win again. Warriors next week; keep it going lads...

Disagree about sione. Was a dead set passenger, should not have been out there and was an absolute liability today. Sione wasn't doing anything that resembled a captain today.

Sione made 31 tackles and missed 10. He put immense pressure on the team.

How does Brown coach the next week. All year he has said 'there were positive signs and if we turn those good patches into full games we'll win'.

This week it's 'you played worse. And you won. I don't understand Rugby League. Safiti Brothers you're in charge. Catch ya's.'

If u listen to his presser he summed it up very well. Said they have played much better in the last 3 or 4 and not won but in some ways he was more happy we won today for our education as we did not play well but they stuck in there and played for each other for the 80. So wants better execution but same belief/attitude when things go wrong

And the first week the opposition got dudded by the refs instead of us!

He was asked about that as well and said he hasn't had a lot to say about the refs when we lost close games and would not talk about it today other than to say Saints were given plenty of opportunities to win the game

Gags and Pete 3 missed tackles each. Sione, Wardle, Levi 4 missed each.

Who's the winner this week?

Those stats are obviously misleading. Our centres would have clocked up close to 10 or 12 missed tackles each. Unfortunately the way the stats are done they don't include the attempts where they are both fly out of the line and fail to lay a finger on the ball carrier.

Both were f**king terrible today.

Imagine these two allowed to go absolute berko knowing there are 2 or 3 other decent props who are going to share the work load every week.

WOW!!!!

Yep, Herman Jacob and Daniel are all in the same mould, big young explosive forwards, ideally we want al 3 to have a healthy competitiveness to out do eachother each week. If we can just land a couple old heads to steer these 3 on the right path we have the potential to have one of the best packs in this clubs history

Lillyman was really good in an awful Warriors team last night. Cannot understand why we are not at least talking to him. Handy front row rotation right there.

Josh Kings last few games have been solid too. Cut out the errors and playing with some good old fashioned aggro.
