A 1st for the year surely?

NSWRL site - Team of the Week.
. Lachlan Galvin. Club: Wests Tigers. SOO appearances: 0. TOTW selections: 3

Making back-to-back appearances in Team of the Week, the young half had yet another shining performance after steering his team to a win over the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

Stepping up when halfback Aiden Sezer didn’t return to the field of play for the second half, the five-eighth ran for 204 metres, made three tackle breaks and kicked for 235 metres.

Apisai Koroisau. Club: Wests Tigers. SOO appearances: 4. TOTW selections: 3.

The skipper for the Tigers was just about everywhere on Thursday night as he dragged Benji Marshall’s men to a second-straight win.

Trailing 16-0, his four-pointer kicked off a run of five unanswered tries. Koroisau added to that with four tackle-busts, 77 run metres, three conversions from four attempts and 33 tackles.

Samuela Fainu. Club: Wests Tigers. SOO appearances: 0. TOTW selections: 2.

Fainu appears in TOTW for the second time in four matches following his efforts at Leichhardt Oval against his former club.

He finished the match with 130 run metres (70 post-contact) a line-break, five tackle-busts, 34 tackles, and powered his way over the line to score with seconds remaining to put an exclamation mark on their 34-26 victory.

Nine Sports 'The Mole' Team of the week.

1. Heath Mason (Wests Tigers)

Put under immense pressure by Manly but after a shaky start, the pint-sized utility shone in the massive upset win by the Tigers, scoring a determined try and making a line break.

6. Lachie Galvin (Tigers)

The exciting rookie gave a five-star performance in the shock win over Manly, showing great maturity to steer the Tigers around the park and lay on tries with pin-point passes.

11. Samuela Fainu (Tigers)

Played the best game of his short NRL career, scoring a try and constantly troubling the Manly defence with his wide running in the big upset on Thursday night at Leichhardt.
Thank for posting OTT. Sammy was the MOTM imo.

Pole can go to market at the end of the year however I read somewhere that he is one player we're trying to extend...get it done Richo.

I much prefer him to Stefano and even Papalli. I'm actually glad Stefano is gone. He has heaps of flaws in his game and he is inconsistent. Stefano simply isn't worth the money we were offering him which makes me extremely concerned with Richo and his management.

I see it slightly different Tiger, if
the old incompetent administration were still in charge, we would have given more to keep Stef, and kept Bateman and co.
I think CEO's these days need to rein in coaches a bit as a coach only thinks about now. They want success now because they know their job is all about success and it's not permanent.
The people holding the purse strings are probably asking Richo right now why we are failing even though it's only Benji's first year. It's also not totally Benji's roster. Shinyass (Sheens) and Pascoe had something to do with it.
They need to tell Benji to work extremely hard with what he's got and there will be a mid year review in 05.
Even though Bateman and co weren't a success the Finau brothers, Bula, and the impending onslaught of 2022 Harold Matt's players are. The old board's been kicked out too.
If you look at the dogs rebuild since the coaching and player juggling act, it is now settled. They seemed to be a bit of a basket case till now and it appears, if the stars align, they could go all the way.
So reading all that, what I'm trying to say is it all a bit two faced...coaching and admistrators that is.
A CEO must reign in coaches a bit but they also need to provide coaches with the players he NEEDS and not so much who they want and also give him the tools and staff he needs. It's a juggling act alright.

You've said it earlier Tiger, we need to be patient. Don't spend willy nilly.
