The sad thing is, Newcastle were in a much worse position than us only a few years ago yet they’ve managed to turn it around quicker than us

This has actually been my biggest frustration. Teams like the knights were miles behind us, yet in 3 years they have now over taken us. They’ve signed 3 current origin players, whilst we can’t get anyone to even consider us. Sure they won’t be winning a comp anytime soon, but they’re probably going to be 7th/8th 2 years in a row. That’s probably going to take us a decade to get too

If the Bulldogs make the finals before us, I really think that would be the last straw.

Add Parra to that list, how many spoons did they collect in the last decade and have turned it around to be a premiership (small) threat while we still plod around the 9-12 mark

If Madge insists on rotating the hooker I would rather Simpkin on the bench. I'm ok with Mbye on the Bench as long as he stays there and only comes on as an injury replacement. Thought his service was terrible from dummy half on the weekend

I thought the worst part of Mbye's game was his refusal to run straight from dummy half. What kind of hooker doesn't know how to do a dummy scoot?

I think the next couple
Of weeks we’ll see Liddle minutes increase. Left him off for a bit too long on Sunday, not that it would’ve made any difference, he could’ve hooked Joey earlier and had Mbye play left centre

Call me delusional, but I'm pretty optimistic about this game, I don't particularly rate the Knights (they really only snuck past the Warriors by some Bradman Best brilliance) and they strike me as a bit of cocky team that are primed to get their pants pulled down.
BJ out is good and I'm hoping Madge hooks Brooks and says hello to Mbye if Brooks has another shocker.

Better side without BJ morris-dancing his way through the second half thinking he’s casting for a role in a snoopy carton.

Brooks being included is a beyond a joke, I’d prefer Ad at half

Hopefully Roberts can stiffen that backline ( I can’t even believe I typed that). Jeez it looks shakey!

Forwards look a lot better -If they show up!

Pray that mck has one of his 1/100 blockbusters.

Look it’s a new round and a new team... we have tweaked the team. Wouldn’t be surprised if we bag a win But if we don’t and get lapped someone’s job is going to be on the line very soon.

This is what makes me want to give up supporting the Wests Tigers. How the f**k are we supposed to turn our chances around when simply put - nobody wants to come to the Tigers. There are basically three types of WT players:
1. Young Guns waiting for a better contract at another club
2. Older players getting ready for retirement
3. Flogs who probably couldn't make first grade at another club

Nofo is literally the only player who doesn't fit into this mould.

When other clubs get into this situation, it takes a couple of years to build the roster up to a good position with a mixture of established first graders, a couple of rep players, and a bunch of hungry young guns ready to die for the club.

It's been 10 years and we still haven't been able to break out of this cycle...I'm not far off giving up

They’ll be none of that my lad.

Front and centre, the Newcastle backs are rubbish and Pearce is long overdue for a crap game.

The season depression has set in earlier this year. I’ve been effected myself.

All it takes is one bad day from the other side and we can win the match.

If we can get a succession of sides having a bad day at times when we play them, we could still make something of the season.

Madge said we can fix ourselves, well there’s little evidence of that.

Des is expected to go onto the market later this year and if the players don’t improve their own game maybe @WA Tiger is right and we should make some discrete enquiries.

Coach swap with Manly. Madge has to motivate the players. They have to lift or f**king die trying.

Except Brooks and bj who cannot be saved.

Perhaps some voodoo and human sacrifices can appease the League Gods?
