Who is going to replace Gags then? Also, Hunt won’t have to jump for the high ball as much at centre as he did today.

I have said it before Hunt is another Jake Mamo.
He can come up with the odd arsey play and brings plenty of enthusiasm but there are too many fundamental errors.
He is also a handbrake in backline shifts.

If Greg re-signs the only real spot up for grabs is right centre.
I have no doubt Hunt gets overtaken by one of De Courcey/Winter/Seve.

Hunt could be handy on a 6 man bench but I don’t see him locking down a regular spot in a NRL back 5.
Maybe a wing spot at one of the bottom teams

Yep agreed. I don’t see him as a long term centre, imo he’s a good fullback/wing option.
He’s got a good build, if he can put some size on I could see him as a decent wing option

Been absent here for months, but last weeks first half was the best I have seen from them in years. Was very impressed.

Today was scrappier, but that doesn’t concern me because the fight is what counts.

But I’m sure that Smith needs to be our 7. He has been incredible in that spot. With everybody fit, there’s a tough decision to make.

The Tough Decision is going to be at board level if we continue to develop and show promise like this, as Smith will have the 7 , Brown the 6… Which one of Ponga or Sharpe do they allow to walk.

Think we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves with Smith. Been very handy again today but made a few mistakes as well. A long way from unseating any of Ponga/Brown/Sharpe.

Anyway, how good. Looked a bit flat for most of the first half but the defence held firm and they came good eventually.

Also couldn't help but notice that Friz and Gags were 2 of our best..

Great from the boys today. Both on the field and up in the coach's box. Not a bad player again today.

Hunt is basically a high school kid. Great play to set up Dom and might make mistakes but he makes the opposition nervous as he attacks kicks well and that play to knock the ball dead was great to. Hope we can cheer him on instead of trying crucify his career already.

Frizz playing like he is 25 again. Saifiti probably should play Origin. Croker looks like a good player. Some great offloads from everyone on the team today.

Our back line is gold. Hope Best is back soon. Our wingers are the best combo in the comp?

Both halves were brilliant. Sharpe he usual self, dangerous the whole 80 minutes. Sandon controlling the game brilliantly. A proper halfback.

Very proud today. Maybe just keep Ponga and Brown out until finals? Lol.

Hunt at centre? Holy sh#t whoever is calling for that is kidding. Do we forget him being an absolute turnstyle in defence when shoved there last year? He literally couldn't stick on a tackle. His best position is fullback, and he still has too many errors there to be reliable. Does some great things for sure, but makes too many errors to be useful there long term. He's young so he might get there, but he ain't there now. So we take the freaky with the frustrating of his performance thus far. He's doing a job and it seems to be good enough.

Anyhoo, great win. The end (i.e. most of the 6 years) of the O'Brien tenure was soul destroying and coma-inducing. Thank god for Justin Holbrook for taking one offseason to inject some joy into the playing group and the fan base. It's been most welcome.

JSaf - 19 runs for 174m.
T Mooney - 7 runs for 43m. Against his old club he would have wanted to prove a point against.

Who's our best prop forward again? Can we put that silly shit to bed yet?
Mooney looked injured or something. His runs lacked effort and leg drive. He wasn't moving well at all and wasn't looking for work. We need a lot more than that from him.

With Mooney, I think we need to remember that while he’s a starting prop for us because we lack props, he wasn’t even playing regular FG at the Raiders and Stuart was f**king around with him a lot too. He’s going to take time to even get used to playing nrl week after week, let alone starting or dominating.

First game I've been to in a long time and what a day out it was. NSW Cup came from behind to win with a field goal and first grade is just a joy to watch this year. Perhaps the biggest difference this year is there's fight in the team. Despite injuries to our best players they're ripping in. When things go against them during matches they fight back. We never had that spirit under AOB.

In fact, the AOB tenure was the worst the side ever looked and played. We only ever looked gear when Ponga was in form. How the club re-signed the guy on the back of the form of a single player is beyond me. Put us back a few years but I'm glad we finally got there in the end. This is a joy to see. Even the Warriors game, I thought we got absolutely dudded of any chance to compete and I consider the game an outlier due to the officiating. This season is building into something...

Great performance today. We had an excellent balance of discipline with an attacking mentality. We had a high completion rate and kept pressure on the Raiders especially in the second half but also weren’t scared to go after the game when the opportunities arose.

A few of our veterans were huge for us today. Gags and Friz were arguably the two best players on the park and JSaf is looking like he’s in career best form at the moment. It really shows the value of the old heads in the team standing up when you need them and showing their leadership qualities.
