Interesting that Josh & Cory are still available, thought were moving on, but after last games debacle maybe nobody is moving just yet.

Sorry OTT, I posted before I read your post. Yes it is interesting, I would've started him actually. Josh is worth a shot imo.

Round 05 Team Lists have arrived with BIG changes!

* Tommy Talau has been named on the wing in place of Robert Jennings.
* Josh Reynolds replaces Benji Marshall in the halves.
* Zane Musgrove and Chris Lawrence start in the forward pack with Luke Garner and Thomas Mikaele shifting to the bench.
* Russell Packer has been named to play his first game since April 2019
Woops didn’t see this ...Musgrove back good...Lawrence I can only think it’s for leadership according to your guys comments ..

He was wearing the #7 for us earlier this year, but wore the #6 for each match between Rounds 4 and 7 last year. Before that it was #9 or a bench number.

Jennings not in the 21 and hopefully that will the last we ever see of him. I'd release him. He's just as likely to break lockdown, get on the piss and assault someone. We could do without the reputational damage.

Personally, if I was in charge I'd forfeit this game. It would save our +/- copping a 50 point plus downturn. I'd also dock all the players their weeks wages. That would send a very clear message. Except Grant. He's the only one who earned his money.

BJ will be seeing plenty of action in defence this weekend.

get them all in the sauna just before they have to do their temp checks and con the NRL into awarding a draw.

People have been screaming for accountability and Madge has delivered. He has made a loud statement to the playing roster. In saying that I doubt this is the team we will see in a month or so. It’s more about giving some new players a chance to show what they can do and sending a loud clear message.

Sadly I still think the Raiders will have their usual day out on Saturday, but Madge has made the right move

Well ..if nothing else it makes it as clear as day to them that no ones position can be taken for granted
..Benji may be the tall poppy fall guy to ram that home...dropping him seems rash but still being early in the season it may just be the zap to the heart this club needed. Match fitness with the new guys is a big concern though
Benji played like a cripple on Sunday, I’m pretty sure he is carrying an injury

I for one was surprised with the number of changes, but it had to be done. Really hope with Benji being demoted it brings out the best in Brooks. He was way too quiet on Sunday and we need him steering us around. Kick for the corners and generally be in and around the play more. Now is the hour Luke!!

I wish Rowdy would retire, off field he is likeable and a credit to the club but on it he is a liability.

I’m willing to see what he dishes up Saturday. This year he’s been used as a 13 which he isn’t suited too. I’d say he’s been brought in to stiffen the right side defence.

One thing Reynolds brings is a very smart short kicking game. Gives us a real chance of back to back sets.
The one guy I am worried about is Packer. The last time he played we had the 5 meter rule and 4 tackles. Okay might not have been that long ago, but it’s been a long time and the speed of the game has increased a heap. We will be doing very well to get two 10 minute spells

Another thing call my cynical, but we have been trying to offload both Reynolds and Packer for some time. The market place has shown virtually zero interest except the Dogs were keen on Reynolds if they could get him for next to nothing.

I was thinking maybe the club wants to give them a chance to showcase their talent to drum some interest in the market place so we can get a big chunk of cap space for next year.

More than likely I am way off the mark but nothing would surprise me anymore..especially our mob
