Maybe I’m a bit harsh, his first half was pretty good to be fair, but I lost my shit when he put that kick through to no one on the third play of a set. That sort of stupidity kills me. Really low percentage footy.

Yeah, he gets a little too over enthusiastic imo. It didn’t hurt us yesterday because we had a big lead, but our terrible kick options are gonna cost us sooner or later (like always)

And then in the lead up to their 3rd try all Mbye had to do was fall on the ball I mean literally fall on the ball and he muffs it the ball goes out ...their feed 10 m out from our line ...Feldt in the same corner...8 point try

I really thought Grant was denied any opportunity of tackling Feldt for that try Marsters held him
Out of the play for a couple of seconds, not saying he would’ve stopped the try but he would’ve been on the spot and not in a position where he would’ve been tempted to kick the ball. He would’ve had a fair attempt at a tackle, I think it should’ve been no try given Marsters play on Grant

You hold the ball for as long as possible and get to a repeat set or a scrum to slow stuff up
I’m hearing you

U certainly are not harsh as that kick was so moronic. We won’t make the 8 let alone win another comp until our game management is consistently exceptional

This a very good point and with 3 players injured during the game it is difficult. Plus the Cows would have got a spray at half time and you would expect them to get back into the game a bit more.

But I just want to enjoy the win and look forward to next week.
Your right enjoy the win ...But I’m not sure u’d see that capitulation from other teams under the same circumstances esp at that rate of knots. & there were 2 tries of theirs that were disallowed where their wingers foot was just on the line also...Poor defence is Madges big thing at the moment ..would be good to be a fly on the wall after the game.

Did anyone see any captain team talk huddles in the second half ...maybe the camera didn’t zoom in on them ..or maybe they’ve been outlawed..haha

Hearing Twal out for 4-6 weeks :(

you can see how important he is to our defence by what happened in the second half

Big test for the next few weeks with Packer, Twal and likely Musgrove out. Would think Clarke, Taylor and Seyfarth come in. Mikaele and Eisenhuth are going to have to step up ( not including Aloiai in that because we know he will).

On a side note, who was in the coaches box (our RHS of Madge), it looked like Geoff Toovey?
It did didn’t it..Not a bad move if it was ...another madman to rev the boys up..I actually rate Toovey as a coach ..but he’s not going to get a gig unless he goes through the assistant coach channels

Douhei: As sad as it was to lose Thompson, Douhei is our man. The guy seems to break tackles really well despite not looking like the quickest mover (ala Hodges). He is developing very nicely with more promise to come.

Nofoaluma: Along with Twal, our most consistent player. No meat pies yesterday but so hard to put down and very enthusiastic.

Leilua: His best game for the club. Looked very dangerous in open space and took great options. More of this!!!

Mbye: His best game for the club this season. He looked like he had a spring in his step in attack and has defended well in every game this year. I still want him to be replaced at some point but he is our best option there at the moment.

Jennings: He did his job...nothing extra though.

Reynolds: Enthusiastic as always but not a great game from him.

Brooks: I thought he was a bit better this week with the way he took the line on. Dangerous runner but not much else atm.

Aloiai: Another 100% effort from this bloke. Plays with pure desire and was effective last night. Plays above his weight division.

Grant: Him and Douhei are shaping up to be more creative than our halves. Another good game.

Musgrove: Injured early.

Garner: Once again, just okay. A guy that has not really kicked on from last season. I don't think he has it in him and we need to look another direction after this season. Sadly, one of our two best back row starters.

Leilua: Despite our team carving up the Cows, I thought Leilua was pretty well contained last night. Average.

Twal: Man, we will feel his injury over the next few weeks. We felt his absence already in that second half.

Eisenhuth: Im not a big fan of his but I thought he went okay. Very involved and tried hard. I'd pick him next week.

Mikaele: Im beginning to lose faith in this bloke. It is worth playing him but he is not making a great impact.

McIntyre: A decent debut.

Chee-Kam: Pretty poor game. Defensively, he was absolutely hopeless.

I would be tempted to put Blore on the bench, it is the season to be blooding young players anyway. Thought McIntyre was pretty good in his first game aswell

The injury to Jennings really hurt our defensive structure, it raises questions about who should be the fourth spot on the bench. We need an outside back on the bench who can play, centres, fullback or wing. A bloke like Momorovski??

Chee Kam played centre but he looked out of place last night
I'd be thinking Chee Kam or Walters + 3 Forwards we can cover the backs with MCK or Walter, but with the speed of the game we need to rotate our forwards. A bonus for us is young Harry playing the full 80 now.

You have been waiting for Reynolds to have a bad one haven’t you Tiger05.
Big difference between, “isn’t very good” and having a shocker or went missing.

Not at all. I want him to do well. He just isn't a good footy player though. I get why he is there. His defense is pretty good in some ways or it has been the last 2 weeks. He can also contribute in attack if he just plays within himself. He was terrible last night yet again.

I try to judge players rationally and not emotionally. I only want the team to win.

The guy gets away with murder on here. Nice guy. Every time he does something good I reckon it's awesome.

That effort last night was f**ken atrocious and completely unacceptable.

To be fair to him, he has probably played there (in the halves) a hand full of time in nearly 2 & 1/2 years, he will need some time.

mmm either way Benji would have enjoyed watching last week against the Titans and yesterday’s game even more ...plus he’s resting up for when the serious opposition come knocking

Good win. Grant is a star. Reynolds isn't very good. Brooks was pretty good. Aloiai was awesome.

Mbye was also very good. He cops it on here way too harshly. His defense is really good. He can also do some good things in attack if he gets some opportunities. He is overpaid but he can be a really good contributor to the team.
i was real impressed with mbye .5/8 ?

Maybe but I don't like it. He looks like a good player in the centres. His defense has been great. He got some opportunities in attack last night and killed it. Just keep him there.

He'd be a better all round player than Reynolds and Benji at 6. Do we have a gun centre coming through ?
