Dally M: 3 - Harry Grant, 2 - Jason Taumalolo, 1 - Luke Brooks

I thought the Tigers contained Taumalolo and that Josh Aloiai had a better game than he and Brooks.

Injuries: Alex Twal (knee), Robert Jennings (hamstring), Zane Musgrove (foot)
Judiciary: Sam McIntyre (dangerous contact), Josh Aloiai (contrary conduct), Grant Harrison (dangerous contact)

I just think sometimes if a supposedly good player has maybe one or two good runs they get the points..Too much like hard work choosing otherwise..Go Harry go !! Not sure how he will go in the judiciary ..it looked harmless but it caused a bloody injury(is usually the criteria although it’s not a disabling one - therefore in his favour ) and sticking your foot out like that to stop a try was outlawed way back in Matthew Ridges day

mmm either way Benji would have enjoyed watching last week against the Titans and yesterday’s game even more ...plus he’s resting up for when the serious opposition come knocking
Benji played against the titans, he was atrocious, he watched the Raiders game where we were pretty? good all

Ah yes I see your point..The Titans.. Benji played that game.

Benji’s not going to play well every game especially after just coming back from a 2 or so month break and straight into the hot seat. And the bad games/tackling aren’t going to stop just coz he’s on the sideline..I’m all for giving Josh a go. He’s got a game and he may get better.. and if we had a better team around him we could be top 8 but we don’t.

Better teams are coming..And we can beat any of them with Benji on the field and make an impression on the ladder, especially with our 9 and 1 being transformed. And he’s chomping at the bit and fresh and he’s got the message.

If we don’t get into the top 8 our recruitment for top players will stall another year even with $$ to spend.

Anyway someones got to support Benji right?

Benji is still great with ball in hand, He is slow but still very skilful, but it’s only half the game. It was very noticeable how poor he is in defence in the Titans game, they kept getting outside him and leaving leilua and Nofo in no mans land. I have in the past been critical of Nofo’s defence I now see that Benji is probably a significant contributor to that problem.

Twal out 4-6 weeks is a huge loss for us but it could be worse. If we are able to pull together and crack into the top 8 he will be a massive addition when he comes back

Tigers are no chance for a top 8 spot. They could have Jesus at halfback, and God at Hooker and would still struggle to make it. 10th-12th is about where we are at if we play to our potential

Another prophet of doom, great. No point in watching any more games then.
It is too early to say what is going to happen, no one has ever won the comp after R6. I don't think we will win it, but get the consistency right and anything can happen.

I reckon our team is looking a lot better. We need some class at 1 or 6. I reckon Grant and Brooks are class players. Benji is offensively but not defensively. I think Reynolds can do the job but it's not going to be a good job and he has to play consistently. Doueihi to me is a great option but he isn't a class player yet.

We have though a decent pack of forwards and some decent outside backs. I think the only weakness is really our left winger spot.

I think Talau looks very promising, still early, but he should improve with more game time.

Our 1 is clearly our best back.He displays game awareness & creativity with ball in hand qualities that our 7 is glaringly devoid of.

Brooks is a bog average 7 & plays with zero intelligence in attack.I totally blame the moronic coaches he has played under who have persisted with the absurd belief he can take ownership of the team.It beggars belief as to y Brooks hasn’t been tried at hooker or as a utility off the bench.Bring him on when opp forwards r tiring & tell him to concentrate at running the ball at defensive turnstiles on edges & tiring/lazy middle forwards.

Brooks has never played an NRL finals game & while ever him & grub r our halves we have buckleys of breaking our playoffs drought.

I rate Brooks. His defense is great and he can add a lot to our attack. I don't think he is a dominant half or better put he isn't Andrew Johns or close to it. I also think he is one of the better halves in the comp. I'd be nervous playing him at 9. It's a different position and he might not take to it.

The problem to me is that Brooks can't carry the rest of the spine or the team. I think the expectations are that he can do that when he can't. I don't see any halves in the comp with that ability at the moment though. Munster might be have that ability but I don't think he displays that consistently. I look at though Clearly and Moses who appear to be highly rated and I think Brooks is better than both of them.

Doueihi to me looks really good but he isn't anywhere near the Turd or Turbo or RTS or Latrell if Latrell comes good. I doubt he gets to that level as well but that is okay if we can have a quality spine around him. Grant is a lock in but he goes and so we have to do something at hooker but it'd be awesome if he stays.

We need a 6 and a left winger.

Wests Tigers have copped a triple blow with Alex Twal, Robert Jennings and Zane Musgrove to be sidelined for a significant period.

Musgrove's outlook appears the worst of the trio. The prop is set to miss 10-12 weeks after scans confirmed he suffered a lisfranc foot fracture against the Cowboys last round.

Twal will miss around a month with the workhorse lock's knee injury, while Jennings is out indefinitely with the winger suffering a high-grade hamstring tendon injury.

In better Tigers news, hooker Jacob Liddle is nearing the end of his ACL rehabilitation and should be available for selection in round 14 or 15.

Good work OTT.

Does anyone think that Jacob will replace Harry, unless he is injured?
