Winning changes everything.

I believe it is the players who are accountable for their own performances and basically one in particular (who has been here the whole time), we have had too many (good to reasonable) coaches to say otherwise imo. The coaches and certainly the board don't control the effort of what happens on the field, that's on the players, imo.

Do you think we’d be a much better team with say, Nathan Cleary or Cherry Evans type player?

I do agree that we need to make a change in the board, get someone with a bit of footy nous on it, we hopefully wouldn't have then ended up with Sheens back as coach, though I give him credit for the recruitment this season, I thought the forwards he brought in were pretty good. They should have him kept in his role as GM of the footy club. Could use a few more backs though.

BTW, people are starting to call for change, which is great, I hope it happens, not sure why players would play better because of it though? But I do believe it will turn, just don't know when.

Do I think we would be better with a Cleary, DCE type player ? Absolutely, our tackles in the 20 conversion to tries would go up ten fold. We have had no real trouble getting to the attacking zone this season but we cannot score points. Plus, the kicking games of our halves is atrocious, we’re not getting any repeat sets, our kicks aren’t landing anywhere near the corners we’re giving teams a great start to their sets because we’re near on always letting them have the ball 20m out. Papaliis lack of tries this season is a stark contrast to his work at Parra he is just not getting quality ball. Those are the areas halves need to shine.

We’d be in the eight with Cleary. I’d say if we had Hastings this year we’d most likely make the eight.

Mistakes were up again last week last week.

We’ve got the poorest group of coaches in the game.

Its ok for Robbie to make a rude and disgusted face on the sidelines, but he should be giving himself the uppercuts.

Tim’s of course.

Although 360 claimed that we were prepared to let Brooks go last year but we couldn’t reach an agreement with the knights as to payout.

Brooksy apparently sought a release 3 times, but one thing he wasn’t prepared to do was to cut his own contract to facilitate the move.

He expected us and/or the knights to pony up.

We wanted Klem so we traded Hastings and the rest is “history”.

There was also “the troubles” between Bateman and Hastings that was widely publicised and the proposition is that Bateman wouldn’t play footy with him.

The press have raised it, but neither the player or the club will comment.

Hastings has publicly admitted he hasn’t been the full quid at times.

I don’t know the details.

But what I do know is that he’s a better half than Brooks.

But given the ineptitude and rubbish the team has served up this year, you’d wonder whether our ineffective, incompetent and bumbling coaching staff would have screwed his game too.

And at the moment, Tim would probably put Hastings at fullback anyway.

The selections to date have been largely experimental and unsuccessful. We are 1 to 2 games behind in Tim’s cut off date to get it right.

The club needs the miracle performance against the eels pretty badly. But If somehow we jag it, it’s got the stench of a one-off.

I thought I’d take a peek and realised the game is over. Had to check a couple of sites to make sure the nil all wasn’t a mistake. I though the game started at 4 for some reason. Glad I didn’t waste my time. I keep saying to myself I’m done till they drop him but keep looking from the corner of my eye.
