Optimistic theories about '23 season...many make perfect sense and would suit most teams....see posts scattered across various '23 threads....will sell for scrap value and come with full publishing rights. Would be most suited for comedy standup. No offer too small

When I first saw your post, I thought it was your Kayo contract getting sold:)

I believe Sheens said players will be told next week (bye round) who is staying and who is going?

A lot of recruiting to be done by next season by the looks.

I didn’t watch the game, but seen the scores occasionally, Sheenius will be happy, looks like we won the second half again.
Just that damn first half is the issue.

Tigers will take a lot of confidence out of hanging in there with Parra

Moses showing he is worth every penny

loved the little shoosh at the crowd

Three tries in the first half from grubbers down our left hand side that no one got near. A week after Sheens lamented tries from kicks. Screams that we have practised defending them. Poor coaching. I thought the effort was there and at times we played some good footy. Bye has probably come at the wrong time. Followed by a toughie against the smug.

On Roar, a guy made a great comment.
"The WT's will be disappointed that Doohee has a possible medial Ligament tear, Naden has a possible broken collar bone and Brooks came off unscathed", just about sums us up.

Two of my favourite players injured…

Junior into 5/8? He had an absolute blinder.

Chin up Boys. We were very lucky. Ironically Moses was the difference. I’d be keeping Staines at fullback despite his error at the end. He was huge. And both of your wingers were immense.
Staines was great in the second half bar that mistake but his first half was ordinary. Got caught out a few times, wasn’t trailing the ball hard enough, I won’t blame him for the three tries from kicks but it is outrageous that he wasn’t there for at least two of them. He was in no man’s land.

Moses chipped the tigers at half time accusing them of playing a touch footy style of game…….he was 100% correct it’s Sheens go to playing style. It’s rubbish footy. Its effectiveness is exemplified by the fact that we can’t score tries from the attacking zone even though we spent half a game in their 20. The only time we put multiple bodies in motion running half decent lines near the try line Tupou scored.

There are some green shoots. Getting to attacking zone is fine. But how the f**k are we unable to score in the 20m zone? What the hell are the coaches doing? We could have won every game bar the donkeys had we been able to score a bloody try in the opponents 20

Mate I don’t see any green shoots, I see a lot of guys trying pretty hard but with no foundation to play good footy. The key to playing good footy in 2023 is playing a structured game where everybody knows their role and do it well. This is the foundation.. you play solid footy first and foremost… this doesn’t mean that you don’t take chances, you just pick when to take them. The other thing that was really clear in the game today was that when we made a half break there was rarely a ‘roll on’ . Every single player needs to follow the play if there’s a break you need to be where you should be at the next play the ball not lagging 20 metres behind the play. That’s comes down to knowing your role and putting in the effort.
