you cant be serious lol. Hudson Young was sacked for drugs as a kid, Nick Meaney a victim of our cap as a kid and hardly set the world on fire at the dogs......Connor Watson played well when he was not injured....Josh King had improved and was about to enter peak performance years - hence the Storm call. ( great recruitment by them) Kurt Mann is performing at the same level he did for us.

exactly - we have been recruiting plodders. The real kicker is many on here want to re-sign them ffs

Which is my point. The blame for mine lays at the feet of management

In my opinion AOB hasnt performed badly given the roster.
lol ok that's fine, I don't agree with much of any of that but I don't have to. I don't think the players that run out there every week are playing their best football. And there was only 10 weeks of AOBs tenure that I can see that it actually was the case.

Do you think we're playing to our potential right now? Like you see the team named and go yep, that's a team that can't even earn 40% possession? Or are we not playing as well as we can?

We can't even seem to put basic attacking plays on which is fascinating. I honestly don't know who to blame for that. Probably everyone.

Yeah this is where I’m at. It’s pointless trying to argue whether it’s the players or the coaches at fault because it’s pretty obvious everyone is.

Classic Knights. Defend heroicly. Play boring AOB and make a ton of fun errors. Game is lost by half time. Then the last 15 minutes throw caution to the wind and play natural football and we don't make an error and actually look like a quality attacking outfit.

Refreshing to see us move away from that slow boring structured play and actually play some footy. How good was that? Marzhew actually can play footy when he isn't asked to defend bombs all game and take the hardest hit up in football every second set.

I thought Croker was good today. Happy to see him get more minutes. Cant and McEwen don't look like they can handle more than a 20 minutes every other game in first grade yet. Our forward depth is so shallow.

KPP is a mystery to me. Great in defense. Is the tallest person in Australia but isn't allowed to contest bombs. No doubt he will go onto becoming a huge attacking weapon the next team he goes to.

Happy with the defense. Weird to say that when we concede 30 but it could have been 60. If our attack was better we wouldn't be defending on our line all the time so probably only concede 2-3 tries max today.

On a positive note, defense is harder to fix than attack. Least we got that sorted. I still think we can make the 8 but probably need to find some attacking form in the next 3-4 weeks or it's going to be a dead grubber of a season.

The thing I really can’t work out is what happened between round 2 and 3. We were still making a heap of errors early on (especially the Tigers game) but we at least seemed capable of setting up a basic attacking play (even if we dropped the ball at the end). We’re suddenly incapable of even doing that.

We also took what was working for us attack wise in round 2 (playing KP a combination of first and second receiver) and completely threw it out the window for some strange reason.

I will say despite how awful it was, I thought there was improvement with Sharpe, Best and Marzhew at least. KPP showed some good signs too (although it still concerns me how softly and slowly he runs into the defensive line - I feel he’s still not quite used to how hard the NRL defensive line hits ).

Man, watching it again with the privilege of better camera angles than being at the stadium, the Cant obstruction really was an awful call. Hynes was not sliding, Cant did not stop in the line of his own volition - Hynes made a defensive decision to tackle him (well, I think he tackled him because he knew he was beaten and thought he'd play for obstruction based on how quickly he appealed to the referee mid-play).

Calls like that rub salt in the wounds when you're already down.

Real salty as well but every team is going to get some of those calls go against them during the course of the season. If that call decided a grand final it'd be horrible but we were never going to win the game anyway.

You really need calls like this to go your way when you’re struggling with form.

Or a Grand Final anytime soon.
