Kalyn has played very little footy in a long time, and is coming back from a pretty significant health scare into a team that has been playing a certain way without him. He's gonna need time, and always was going to. He'll find his way. I mean we need him to, we're fully invested in him.

I think he's playing it right at the moment. Just try and make some tackles, get his hands on the ball and build some confidence. Then he can worry more about where he needs to be and when.

Don't know if it's Ponga's fault. He looks keen as beans. It's almost like Phoenix has been instructed to go the opposite side of where Ponga is lol.

I'm sure we'll start seeing the "real" Ponga this half. Big question is if the real Ponga fits in with how we've been playing.

Haven’t read thru the thread, but that was a disgusting half of football from us overall. Only a couple of positives.

also, since he has been on, Ponga has slotted back into his dummy half shadow role.

He needs to learn to use the bench better in general.

Too often he leaves our starting front rowers out there too long and they're expected to match it with fresh middles for 2-3 sets before he finally makes a change, and they always come when we're on the back foot.

Yeah. I think Thompson does ok with the longer minutes. Great defender and chips away with plenty of tackles but Dan Saifiti looked really fatigued out there.
