doesn't matter which winger he is up against, he has about 3 feet on either of them.
The Rorters kicking game will naturally be directed towards Tupou when attacking so the Tigers just need to be very smart, don’t contest it, aim up and gang tackle him out.

The Tigers kicking game has to be spot on as well, no bombs towards Tupou, make him bend and pick up, same with their fullback, what’s his name  don’t let him catch it on the fly, we know what he can do.

Marshall has always played very well against the Storm halves, or was it a case of Cronk not playing particular well against Marshall? Could be interesting.

Actually I think our kicking game should be based around bombing their back 3 and hitting them with the kitchen sink. Kick chase needs to be on song

Latrell barely even touches the ball unless he's in the opposition 20, such a lazy player. But when he gets the ball, something always happens

You are not going to beat the Rorters at their own game ,my game plan would be to frustrate Easts by killing time, put the ball into touch, hold down, question the ref repeatedly, go down for injuries to stop play, virtually time waste to stop them getting any momentum, if we can get the match to become a grind our chances increase to snatch a win.

Well, I've been "forced" to go and watch this with my Roosters loving friends of mine.
I have prepared a checklist for my bag.
1. Tigers jersey.
2. Lube

Edit . . . . If I plan ahead, before I leave home I can put the jersey on, and the lube in . . . . and that way I don't even have to bring a bag !

Ah, Nosworthy's game plan from 1969. Worked once, why not again hahaha

Just realised there would be many on here who have no idea what I am even referring to lol

Nice try Tiger05, outplay most but you nominate 3 things and two of the three he’s not too good at :flushed:

He is exceptional at doing hit-ups. The problem is that he has massive flaws in his game. If the flaws are somehow hidden he can outplay any winger in the game.

The problem is hiding those flaws.

So what you are saying is if he doesn't play shit he will play good.

Thanks scoop

Yeah worked back then and a few times since by others, great result in 69 against an international pack coached by the great Clive Churchill

Fonua can outplay a lot of wingers. His hit-ups are unreal. The problem is he has handling errors and he is slow so he can also be completely outplayed.
He is just a depth player & nothing more. For Fonua to b making our run-on team is very telling re how weak we r in the 3/4’s.Personally Id much rather Fonua than Nofa coz like u said Fonua does have a strength in his immense carries which is 1 more strength than the has-been Nofa possesses.Hopefully young Bradley comes on swiftly & we can additionally unearth a gun centre coz our 2-5 are shithouse.

I laugh at people blowing their load over Fonuas 3 tries last week as even my 89 year old grandmother could've score those tries

Fonua is good for attracting 3 defenders but like you said I hope we are on the market for a tall winger or that Bradley guy comes through

I was thinking the same. ...they tackled like men possessed that day as well. ..got to the cricket ground by 6.00 to still be about 100 m back in line....first in best dressed in those days . Poor old Paul Cross and Artie did so much to get them there only to miss out on the big day. Cross was dropped for not dropping back to support Bob Smithies during the kicking duals against Manly the week before...Nosworthy ruled with a hard earned reputation
