Congrats to the team that maybe 1st to go back-to-back, what a team, every player knows his job and does his job.
Then there’s the Tigers, they try, the back 3 are simply too small. Jennings is not a 1st grade centre, Marsters, the 21 years old gave him a lesson tonight. Brooks simply needs an old head who can manage the team at 6, he is so hot and cold The forwards try but no one broke the line, they never look like doing it.

I’m having a chuckle thinking that parra have been hesitating about offering the gun gutherson an inferior deal to the one the hoax has with us.

Mbye along with Reynolds Packer & matulino ought to have given Cleary & Pascoe backhanders for the insane contracts they were gifted.

Make Mbye the bench utility player and buy a good fullback. Who cares if Mbye only plays 2mins per week. Would Jai Field be a good fullback for us or Hayze Perham

Our attack looked better by a mile when when Liddle came on. We should have scored 2 tries if our fullback wasn’t completely geniused
But in saying that Vic you cant lay much blame on Farah .. he busted his arse to get us back on track in the first half not only with his try but taking on the kicking game and also trying to overcome the roosters 7m defensive line by moving away from the ruck but was let down by f**k all support play( especially a fullback that should be lurking around him) and the rest of the pathetic crap we all seen

literally put anyone who has heart or tackle breaking ability at fb, that's all we need atm.

Man it's depressing going from a supreme player like teddy to Mdud at fullback

Matulino accepted an offer from Newcastle before signing with us. He failed a medical on his knee so the story goes and the Knights withdrew their offer. Disappointing to think that the Tigers would ignore this.

They did the same with Chris McQueen who'd had serious neck surgery shortly before JT signed him. Boy was he bad tonight. Went out of his way to avoid taking hitups

Farah was fine, if we started with Liddle it wouldn’t have made a difference to the result.

I just feel Liddle offers a bit more, and even if he doesn’t the difference is minimal. Farah won’t be here next year and in all likelihood we arent playing finals so what’s the point in sticking with him? Move on and start Jacob. Then we can work out if we need to go to market for a 9 or not.

This was a rumour started by Buzz Rothfield which I believe is 100% false

He is shithouse.Slow soft lifeless & stupid. The only thing I’m perplexed about is how the fk was this hoax selected as captain.

Madge has some real hurdles re the garbage Cleary bought to the club on big money/long contracts. He will move a few on sooner than later.
If it's any consolation we are still Shithouse with a bog average team the impostor left us with ... BUT the impostor has managed to take a potential premiership side to an even lower depth... AND he hasnt even had the chance to buy his duds yet to make it even worse.

Congratulations for winning a comp then adding another 1.5 million worth of improvements ?? If they cant go back to back with that further investment it is a complete failure .

Where can I find a benefactor like Penrith who will generously pay me obscene money regardless of how inept & destructive I am at my job.

We really don't have the cattle - we will win a few & lose many.

Realistically, a finish between 9 & 12 is on the cards.
Manly are sitting 5th with half a squad of discards and Metro cup players. Wouldn't surprise if we sneak into 8th, not that it really means much in one of the weakest comps (other then Greenbergs chosen ones) in decades.

I live in Thailand and have a newborn so I normally watch the first 20 minutes then get an idea of how the game will play out and skip 5 minutes here and there until something happens. Tigers are so predictable.... Some games surprise me. Some don't.... This didn't.

The problem was that we were in it until our back 5 showed their ineptitude (except Thompson who is always consistent). I'd love to see Fonua, Mbye, Marsters and Jennings dropped... but for who? Nofu and... it all ends up the same. I see people put shit on our forwards but our attack is useless when the backs get the ball. Every play involving Mbye is so slow its like watching it in slow motion and the opposition has it covered before the play even begins. We sit back so god damn far in these attacking plays that by the time Jennings or Marsters get the ball they are still 15m from the line. Preparing for a tigers attacking game involves the opposition practicing walking sideways.

Most of our tries are random mistakes. Not set plays. Theres no creativity from 1 to 7. I'll give Matterson some credit but when people talk about Brooks running game its just him running at the line, not finding a hole and getting tackled. How is it helpful for a 7 his size getting tackled in the line when 1 guy can take him down and no one is out of position?

I'd also take a player like Matt Dufty any day of the week (a fast, evasive fullback with good support reading who hasnt got crazy raps on him) over our fake fb. Hell, Michael Gordon is one unlucky old prick who has more going for him than our back 5.

TLDR - give up hope. its another year of 9-10th finish.

Very true, it will be a failure. My points though were basically, 'what a team' compared to the Tigers and 'every player knows his job and does his job' compared to the Tigers.

We have guys who simply are not up to 1st grade standard.

They are different players. You can play Robbie there and Liddle off the bench but Liddle needs more game time. We are a better team with him on the park.

It was interesting seeing the teams beforehand in the sheds last night, the Rorters seemed tense and focused while the WT looked relaxed and casual,as if they had resigned to the fact they were going to get beat.

Let's be honest Liddle came on the field when the Roosters looked like they were done for the night, I hope he is the solution but to say we are better with him on the field is a bit far fetched atm until he proves himself
