I feel like I watched a different game to everyone. While I won't deny I had tears in my eyes at the full time siren and was so impressed with the defensive effort we displayed, our attack in their 20 was still terribly uncoordinated by Brooks and without the rain helping the ball slip out twice for the Panthers at the perfect moments we would have lost 20-12.

We were 0 & 7, I don’t think anyone expected miracles, but a win is a win, so just enjoy it. Next week it starts again.

I think Stryker pussy is on a holiday but I will give you his verdict:

I think he would say the performance was generally unsatisfactory and we got the bounce of the hip drop tackle.

( I had to laugh at Twals facial expressions as he went down).

He would ask why Brooksy doesn’t play like that every week.

He always like to pick a more obscure player to praise, so I’d say he would have chosen Junior.

He would have said Nados non tackle was silly, but agreed with the intent. It was just a statement of ownership.

And then in the end, he would have given it a pass mark in all of the circumstances.

So not as jubilant as us.

But he’d be quietly pleased with the win.

That depends on the standards you’re happy with. If we can’t close out games, nothing changes long term, except we jump a couple of spots on the ladder in the dry..

Good crowd up there for us.

Penrith home game all those growls and their ground announcer sounded like he was on meth.

Babbling away trying to gaslight the crowd.

I suspect a number of those Penrith fans attending, are now die hard West Tigers fans.

More meat for the grinder.

The Sheenius subtly telling us all, “ he told us so”?

That’s the only problem with the win, the accompanying nonsense from Tim and the club telling us critics to suck eggs and the legitimising power it gives to the junta.

Noting he thanked GTA, Robbie and Dave, because we’ve been beating them up too (which they’ve deserved).

And lots of discrete self praise as you inferred.

But as you know I’m turning the other cheek this week as a genuine and deep felt thanks to the players and their efforts.

If we bitterly complain when we win, us patriots can’t be taken seriously.

Just my own view.

Like launching a rocket grenade at Santa. Upon impact the sleigh is destroyed along with all the presents.

There’s a post on instagram from Twal, of him and Nofo, celebrating a 100 tries between them. hahaha

Isn’t Pole a big Bugger? Agree, the forwards were huge tonight, as was the whole team tbh.
I think Bulla if he continues with what we have seen, will be huge for us.
Pole was great early, looks a tough fella too, got potential. Bula is two games in has done some good stuff, great potential let’s leave him alone for a season and a half, he doesn’t need the raps yet.

Are you suggesting that we don't play him for that period?
If he is good enough, he needs to be in the team, surely?

Apparently we have talks with his management scheduled for this week.

A bit obvious isn’t it?
For Brooks to reimburse the club for over payment? and then Fk off!
I don’t believe Benji will allow Brooks to resign. I saw no meaningful congrats from Benji..

In the sheds
I didn’t recognise Farrah with his beaming smile in the sheds.
Furners a humble man considering his killer defence
Nadens a strange fish

A night to remember

Tim alluded to several problems not made public, but that’s par for he course in a side that’s been really struggling.

I very much doubt that Benji and Brooksy are close for 2 reasons:

1. Brooksys non performances has reflected very poorly on GTA. Really found Benji out as a complete meathead as a halves coach. Besmirched his reputation as competent. Undermined his fledging coaching career.

2. All of a sudden Brooksy pulls out a freaky champagne game and GTA is wondering where the f**k that’s been for 9 rounds???

But the damage is already done to Benji. He looks foolish and no one believes he can squeeze another great game out of the $1.1m evil munchkin loafer.

Wokeham remains significantly suspect lol. Not to run him down, I like him, but he has all the consistency of Wightons personal integrity.
Everytime he touches the ball, I have to pray, but in the broad, he is inching forward and he’s rough and tumble.

Forget the tears, Jack Wighton is a selfish greedy entitled bum. Without the raiders he’d probably be a convict.

Up the mighty Wests Tigers and our ship of fools and delusional delinquents. O glorious day!

Come unto us Campbell Graham.

Benjis fine. That he’s responsible for Brooks is a stupid comment. Even for you....Brooks is untrainable..Wakehams a baby..He actually plays like a halfback which is a huge step up from what we had..his passes are clever, not rushed and hit the target. He is, as has been proven, fearless and I think has steely focus, a tiger calm and determination to learn, and kick butt.He could become be a sniper goal kicker. That was a pressure kick he nailed before halftime and there was another sideline kick that was close, in the wet.

I don’t know how you can criticise the post match interview and coaches at this time..What are the origins of your… what’s the word? Deep seated Analness

Like even you said, give it a rest

Naden is so frustrating to watch. Dropped a couple of passes last night not even bothering to use two hands, then goes and does a stupid shoulder charge getting himself sin binned. Hopefully Kepaoa comes in to replace him next week.

Like everyone else, still feel like we've won a grand final last night. Awesome effort. When we show heart for the full 80 minutes results will go our way. It's pretty simple. Brooksy masterclass too. Credit where its due.
