Mateo Backs Out of Deal

Would only keep him if he is going to play 5/8. He is wasted at lock, has to do to much defence and can't use his attacking skills in that position. Really at lock he can only use his off-loading skills but at 5/8 he would have a free rein to be a ball player.

You can see when he plays he just wants to attack but he can't so he makes some mistakes. His natural instint is to attack but sometimes it is too late and he makes a mistake.

Also Horo can offer everything mateo can at lock, off-loads, defence and ability to break tackles. So why not more him to 5/8.

So there is no way his game could be refined in anyway?, Im amazed at the outcry when he "signed" with the Warriors and now everyone is bagging him for possibly staying and probably for lesser money, we have persevered with several nuffys over the years but we cant support a local junior, personally i dont think DA is one who will persist with Mateo, is Mateo precious and lazy at times? yes but still worthwhile helping him get his sh*t together if he wants to stay.

OMG! yes if this is true.. i am a happy man! in my opinon, he still plays good even though he lacks the mentality everyone is talkin about. i love the way mateo runs even without his second phase/offloads

Not pointing the finger at u champ or anyone else in particular , but it seems to me the tide has turned with many in regards to Mateo staying or going, I personally thought it was good news, but cleary in the minority.

If this is true, (and its a big if) it probably coincides with KK signing with the dogs. Maybe Mateo will be used at five eight, as we have struggled to score points.

If we have or will miss out on cronk, then our point scoring options are thin, at best.

Only time will tell.

Way too much discussion is happening for something that some idiot decided to write up. I could easily go on any forum without any source and claim i heard something without it actually being true.

I have since reading this listened to every station, all the sports channels ( which are pretty updated) and have not heard a single mention on Mateo.

In addition to this, Inu and Mateo signed with the warriors together. I think their a hand in hand deal and i dont see Mateo backing out of it because where would that leave inu?

Yeah but listening to them in interviews it seemed as if neither was happy with going but it made it easier that they had the other with them. Theyre close friends ( facebook stalking) and i dont see Mateo leaving Inu to go up there on his own.

Both would have liked to stay, Inu had no choice and the money was to good to knock back for Mateo. That being the case I doubt there is any truth to this, unless the eels found another signed contact (-----> joking of course )

Agreed, since the Hayne train has taken off Mateo hasn't even been close to the same player. He has all the talent in the world but mentally very soft.

Of course he is talking out of his backside. Sooner or later we are going to have to sign somebody to cover all the losses and hell be all i told you so.

I have a gut feeling that casper is a pot smoking doll bludger with a very insignificant life and tries to make himself feel important by pretending he is in the know at what goes on in the eels.

Remember last year? After we had signed shack and poore he said another big signing was to be announced and it was someone from super league.

Have another toke casper and see if you can come up with something better.
