Matt Dufty re-signs until end of 2019

Dufty is becoming everything that he was hyped up to be.
Surely there cannot be any doubters left? Surely nobody still thinks that "Dugan will be sorely missed"?
That first try where he put Mann over was all class.
He's a gun.

Yep, would not swap him for any fullback in the Comp, he's progressing every week he plays, his tackle on Joel was special.

I for one was never a big fan of Duges . As for Dufty was always hoping he would get a go .Maybe small but what he does have in spades is SPEED AND MORE SPEED ......

Well he’s only signed till the end of next year and he has Lomax who is a bigger body nipping at his heels who we all expect to play FG next year. He needed to step up which he’s done in spades.

Ideally it would be awesome to have Dufty and Lomax in th same backline. That would be a pretty scary sight for defences .

I am waiting until about round 20 to post the Dufty vs Dugan poll. That will give Dufty a full season to show his skills before the poll. I am sure that there will be at least one poster who votes for Dugan over Dufty and probably a few more. I think Dugan has missed more games than he has played this year. When he found out that he was not going to make origin this year, then he wasn't available for Cronulla either.

Dufty's game is still developing. Price would say it is a work in progress. lol

Dufty is developing well. His positioning in defence has improved & he’s making more of an effort in tackles eg vs. Manly. He’s showing greater ability under the high ball to.
Its nuts to think some were calling for him to be punted. He earnt his spot & sure is playing well enough to keep it.

Even if you threw statistics out the window, just look at how the ball moves more freely to the edges now.

Duffy’s move and pass to Mann for the first try was all class.

The coach hasn’t changed so clearly, the change in personnel has been the catalyst for making us one of the better attacking teams in the comp.

Right on the coach is still coaching the same its just the positions through the spine that has made a difference . McInnes , Hunt , Duffy all making a difference this year ......

100%.

Those 3 guys have gradually replaced Rein, Duges and McCrone, the last 2 years, 3 of the most dopey spine players in recent times.

I don’t think Mary has necessarily gotten better as a coach but he has a much more expansive skill set at his disposal with those 3 new additions.

We're coming outright first after 1/2 the season...yet Mary hasn't improved at all.

Oh boy.

No I’m not saying that.

More that I don’t think he was the dud most on this forum made him out to be. He was just let down by players like I mentioned devoid of skills necessary to be successful.

Those issues have been addressed now and he and the team are going much better.

Next game is the big one. From memory Mary has won against all coaches in the NRL except for Brad Arthur. I think Hasler as well but he is gonski. Can't be that bad. And he has only had a decent spine at his disposal for 1/2 a season out of the 3 or so years in charge.

Not at all. I just don't hold him in as high esteem as many of here. Also, I don't regard him as a kid when compared to others in FG doing great things. Dragons were bloody lucky to get that win.
Nothing changes DRAG unless he's billy Slater and Tonga wrapped up he's still a big headed overrated too small Quinlan clone....in your humble opinion
