On the money Lindsay ! He will also developed into a far better player under Hook - as will most members of the team . Duffys shortcomings up to this point , you can blame on the coach of the previous 7 seasons .
look at the involvement you got for the FULL eighty minutes out of both papenhuyzen and tedesco last night, thats what hook is looking for with duffy.

True but even Tedesco let some bombs bounce last night. If Dufty does this there’s a meltdown in here.
Also we have to remember Duff has been playing with a team that had no structure, no attack , no coach and he still managed to create and score tries in a beaten team. .... How would Pap and Tedesco gone in our side and been coached by our Genius ? Put Duff in the Storm or Roosters and he would be a stand out ..... It's easier playing in a good team than a team thats struggling..... Duff is a match winner wether he plays with us or moved on ..... Sign him .....

I know..

Watched the first 20 mins or so, saw Tedesco let one bounce, Hynes let one bounce & saw Papenhyuzen try and knock the ball dead instead of getting it, leading to Morris scoring (well, scored until taken away by the bunker)..

I thought those were the actions of the pea hearts?

It's not about the once or twice and the every now and then things that occur it is about repetitive behaviour and the subsequent fall out from that.

Sure Tedesco and Papps let a couple bounce last night however it is not as if that has been the norm for 4 or 5 years.

Last night it was two heavyweights of the comp both with high quality kickers and chasers therefore you would expect a mistake or 2 and no doubt some of their own fan base would be calling them out for those mistakes.

Dufty has been much better so far this year but in 2021 he is yet to play against a team with a really high quality and pin point accurate kicking game so obviously some people still unsure of exactly where he is at.

Fingers crossed that he keeps improving and that he rounds out his game.

You had real life example with Tedesco at the Tigers. Drop him into a professional team with proper coaching structure and look at him now. The ad-lib hot potato stuff is only good for a few games here in there. Not for a season of consistent football.

He is getting better every game, we have nobody in the wings now who can slot in & do what he does...
Personally I’d be kicking off formal talks now on contract extension...

For once I agree with you..

Papenhyuzen hasn’t been letting bombs bounce for the past 4 or 5 years..

Granted, he’s only been in 1st grade for only 2 years, but still your point is valid.

Agree OT
My comment was in regards to when Dufty does these sort of things.

Dufty still has a way to go but appears to be heading in the right direction. Like you say let’s see how he goes against some of the better sides/kickers.
